I think its previous price, now discounted, was a large factor. I also actually read reviews and was aware that I would only receive one. I tend to have anxiety, and this is a perfect stress ball. It squishes easily and completely and returns to its original shape quickly. It is so soft. Mine also has a very nice smell, almost candy-like. My friends who I show it to also like the scent. I can't recommend this squishie enough. It definitely relieves my stress and is super cute on a shelf. I'm going to buy another one soon to extend my collection!
