I also have other devices that use the CR2032 batteries so I can now carry one fewer size of spare battery. I've ordered a second one for my go bag and am thinking about a third one for my car kit. ### ⭐⭐ Died an early death *by T***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2013* This light had just what I was looking for: lightweight for backpacking, hands-free, a bright light so I could see, and the light beam had a narrow focus, important for use in hostals to avoid waking/blinding other people, and a low price. I took it to Europe, along with spare batteries, for my 2.5 month trip. It worked great the two times I used it.However, the third time I tried to use it, it didn't work at all. I tried new batteries - nothing. So even though it was cheap, it was a bad value for the money, since I used it probably less than an hour before it crapped out. I ended up using the flashlight app on my iPhone instead of this piece of landfill. I used this on my John Muir Trail hike, where weight and functionality are of prime importance. It is extremely light, comfortable, and very bright. The only drawback is that with a brighter light such as this, the battery life suffers a little. But if you're not hiking at night for long periods, it is an excellent head lamp. And the batteries are button cell, which are very light so it's not a big deal to carry spare batteries without weighing you down.
