I need them for side and back moves for cardio.** A: There are three sizes. I use the mid-sized. Ihave large legs. How far they stretch depends on where you put - above knee on tighs or below knee on shins. Also the strenth of leg muscles. I would recommend these because of the various sizes available and they are stretch fabric rather than rubber strips. The rubber ones roll up on me and feel like turniquets **Q: How long are the bands? Most are 12", which is too long for my needs** A: The Fit Simplify bands (set of 3) are 12-15 inches long before stretching them for resistance exercises.
