- Heroes of the Nations - high end mythical fantasy art playing cards - USPCC We are glad to announce the "Heroes of the Nations" project, 2 years in the making - we have been creating the heroes of 4 races and we believe the deck that we've created is a small masterpiece. We hope you will appreciate it as much as we do! Given the ambition of this project, the deck had to be make using high end production techniques and materials - USPCC & limited. - Our lead artist Oleg Shapkin used an original painting technique to create this deck. The images were drawn with watercolor pencils and clarified with gouache titanium dioxide pigments. The artist had drawn all of the smallest details, ornaments, letters, suits and symbols by hand and only after that the designer continued the work..
- Our friends, having learned of our idea, were happy to pose with imitation weapons in hand. One of the most dynamic paintings is The Powerful Kong and the Dark-skinned Warrior - Hero. The combination of 2 suits in the dark deck. We have managed to find the perfect tone of red and black in order to color match the images. It gives the better perception of the whole deck..
- We intentionally used obscure colors to design the deck in order to add a feeling of mystery. The images on the back of the cards have a complex plot structure and portray the battles and fantasy characters.
- We wanted to show the tragic nature of the characters. The Joker is a magical and unusual character, who can appear as a comic or mysterious character. The beauty of the figures, bodies and interweaving of emotions. It's a powerful and complicated card. We have spent a lot of time working on it and I believe it's one of the best cards in the deck.
