This one is simple and durable. It's very easy to put on and take off, and it keeps my mouth closed while I'm sleeping. I had spent a great deal of time, money and effort trying every conceivable brand and type of chin straps for my CPAP and didn't find anything that actually worked. It worked perfectly keeping my mouth from being blown open with my full face mask with the high pressures. If you are having the same issue I had with CPAP (the jet engine mouth), changed from full face mask to a Mirage Activa gel nasal mask; it has worked wonders for me. (without cpap equipment)?** A: I have used this strap as such. It won't help you quit snoring completely but does help reduce snoring. The current version has one strap, it's sewn to the headband, and can't be moved. But it led to a case of contact dermatitis, so I went to a full face mask (Simplus) instead. The Primada is just a bit scratchy, but not too bad to wear under my Airfit p30i nasal pillows, so it's making direct contact with my face. I also tried to wear it over, but the process of taking everything on/off was too annoying. Beware of irritation with beards, especially with a wide chin strap like this one. Having said all that, the lack of dry mouth during the night/in the morning, and monitoring my sleep and pulse OX with my Garmin watch, makes it clear the chin strap works. The 4* is in comparison to other styles of chin straps, that all work to some degree, and some are more effective and/or comfortable than others. The Primada seems to be a bit better in both than others I've tried, but couldn't stick to for various reasons.
