With a focus on linear braking performance and enhanced control, these pads are designed for aluminum rims, providing cyclists with a complete set of 4 pads to optimize their riding experience. ## Description SwissStop is one of those rare companies whose obsession puts them above their peers in the industry. You see, SwissStop pads are made by a Swiss company named Rex Articoli SA. They manufacture high-tech rubber bits for industry. In fact, SwissStop brake pads are the only consumer item that they produce. Their 70 years of experience in technical compounds allows them to produce brake pads with highly tuned performance characteristics. SwissStop pads have superior stopping power, low pad-wear rates, very linear brake response, and a smooth, quiet performance. Think of them as the Assos or the SRM of brake pads. FlashPro means one thing: These are compatible with Shimano and SRAM brake pad holders. To better the performance over the previous Flash pads, the FlashPro has deeper asymmetrical grooves and a more pronounced leading edge profile. The idea is to "squeegee" away more water to improve the wet weather performance and the deeper grooves help give the pads better modulation. They increased the total pad depth with more material above the wear line -- good news for those folks that live in the high mountains. The Original Black compound is SwissStop's standard all-purpose replacement pad for aluminum rims. It's ideal if you don't use carbon rims and if you don't relish the idea of riding in the rain. Please note that they do just fine in the rain, but SwissStop makes better pads for you if you find yourself in the wet stuff on a regular basis. One order gets you 4 pads total -- enough for one bike. ## Features - Attachment Type: bolt-on - More linear braking performance - lever force vs. braking force - Easier to apply lower braking force - better fine control or 'feathering' of brakes - Set of 4 pads for shimano/sram fitment - Rim: Aluminium ## Images ![Swisstop FlashPro (Shim/SRAM Road) Brake Pads - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61L7P2eb+IL.jpg) ![Swisstop FlashPro (Shim/SRAM Road) Brake Pads - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51rSAX+nfPL.jpg) ![Swisstop FlashPro (Shim/SRAM Road) Brake Pads - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/217AFOfVevL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent feel, modulation and performance *by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 12, 2014* My new Ultegra brakes/brake pads were squeaking when paired with my Dura Ace 9000 C24 just after 50 miles. Not only was it annoying, but as a heavier rider, they did not provide a lot of confidence under hard braking (I live on top of a steep hill to boot). After about 400 or so miles, I got tired of cleaning the residue left by them and began searched forums for an alternative. The SwissStop GHP2 pads were pretty well recommended, and I can see why.Honestly, the GHP2 pads were a little tight to install on the brake shoes, but after riding them for about 200 miles on similar routes, I can say they were worth the purchase and effort. They stop on a dime, have excellent feel and haven't squeaked yet. They provide a lot of confidence at the end of a fast decent and the modulation is great. If you are having issues with your current brake pads, I suggest you give these a try!Note: they come in two pairs for a total of four, and pay attention to the arrows when installing them ### ⭐⭐ I wanted to like them. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on August 9, 2013* I used Yellow pads on my aluminum wheels for around 2 years. And I was happy with them. Since yellow one's are not exactly for alloy I bought the green one's. I had enough of them after 2 months. First of all I don't feel like they stop effectively. My rims got black after 2 weeks of use. I attempted to wash my rims with plain water and pads started squeaking (front and back wheels). It's very disappointing, I'm ordering Kool Stop Dura, necause my bike mechanic recommend them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the upgrade *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 20, 2015* These are easily worth the upgrade over stock break pads. On my first ride post-installation I almost flipped over my handlebars because they stopped so quickly, but they didn't take long to break in to a very nice combination of modulation and stopping power. I'll buy them again. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/9165979-swisstop-flashpro-shim-sram-road-brake-pads](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/9165979-swisstop-flashpro-shim-sram-road-brake-pads) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
