But no, it is solid highly durable plastic and nothing is going to break or bend. So if you are worried about it's durability you can stop worrying, because it's a solid as a rock.These also are as light as a feather so you can attach it to your key ring without having it be weighted down.It's not quite as comfortable in my hand as I'd hoped it would be, but it would still function quite adequately. I like to put the tip out between my two middle fingers or out between my pointer and middle fingers while making sure the back end of it is pushed up against the meaty part of my thumb muscle, not pushed up against my palm. And I hold it so the ring is pointing down.I put a Break Away Key Ring on it then attach it to my key ring. Minor quibble.The product itself is very sturdy and fits well in my hands (which are pretty small for a guy my size). I agree with another reviewer, unless you feel justified in using deadly force I would not recommend using this to punch someone in the head. You could kill them.I wanted a small, lightweight, concealable tool for self defense and this is perfect. If you take long walks at night or live in a rough area (or just have common sense), I recommend this and some pepper spray.
