The rest of the cast is excellent as well and follows in the tradition of John Ford's usual line up of actors and actresses. The plot is surprisingly mature material for its time, but is handled well. It was filmed in Arizona's Monument Valley, which Ford favored for his westerns, and lends to a great atmosphere for the event and time in history in which it takes place.
