I am a paraglider pilot - been doing it for about 10 years, and I wanted to get a paramotor so I could fly on those days when free flight wasn't possible. Powered paragliding is similar to paragliding, but different enough that I wanted a reference book to cover all those minor points that would take years to discover. I was really impressed with the quality of presentation in the book, the lovely graphics, and the content that takes you from a complete newbie, to a knowledgeable PPG pilot. Of course, this book should be used as a supplement to a training course with a certified instructor - dont use it as a DIY course. you'll only hurt yourself and blow a fortune on broken props. But, this book on Powered Paragliding is the gold standard upon which all others are judged - you cannot go wrong investing in a copy of this book. I just did my first solo flight a week prior to writing this review. I was looking for a "text book" that I could reference and study as I hopefully progress. This book is just what I was hoping to find. I wasn't sure the sport had a big enough market for someone to put a book together like this but I'm pleased that it is. This book is very thorough and quite literally provides instruction from the ground up. In addition, the book is full of good pictures that just make it fun rather than a just a boring text. I have found this book very helpful. It would have accelerated my training process if I had read it before. It exceeded my expectations on many fronts. The pictures, visuals and graphs are very useful. The content and chapters cover the questions/ problems faced by ppg pilots in flight life.
