The paper covering had already started to peel off before we opened it. It misses some hours too, so presumably the internal workings are cheaply made too. The good thing is that it turns itself off when it's dark. Review: I have to get a Command strip to hang it properly but it's very cute! The light sensor works great and prevents it from going off at night. I live in a smaller place so I can't do as much decorating inside and I have also considered putting it on my TV stand bookcase on display with my Christmas musical Snoopy near Charlie Brown's tree. I do love the Christmas tree ornament pendulum, though. My beagle mix was named Snoopy and his ashes are on my TV bookcase stand so it would be very fitting there. Very festive and easy to set up! The timekeeping is perfect. It's a good price for mass produced quality and I got the insurance. The fact that it's made from cheaper and lighter materials makes it easy to hang. The size is perfect. ETA: The first clock was defective in less than a week. I called the manufacturer and they told me to get a quick replacement from desertcart. I called and was shipped a new clock overnight and so I edited this video to show the new one. It's working great and I hung it in a better placement. The manufacturer and desertcart made it easy to get a replacement fast. I also agree with another reviewer that there should be a volume button because it's a bit loud at night and the light sensor doesn't work since I have a nightlight in the bathroom nearby. It does work when the light is out. How can this be fixed?** A: Try pulling out all the batteries, wait a minute then put them back in after you set clock at 12:00 and go once entirely around the dial to 1:00. Unfortunately I can only assume you got a defective clock. Mine worked as soon as the batteries were installed. Just a thought, fidget with the battery placement. I purchased this a year ago and the order details say it was sold by Addison & Sheffield and shipped by Amazon. **Q: recieved a snoopy pendulum clock and snoopy doesn't come out and no song plays, should I just send it back?** A: Make sure the hands are tight, sometimes they get out of their groove and slowly set it to the time and see if it starts chiming on the hour. If that doesn't work I would send it back.
