Does it last or break down and compress?** A: The foam is not overly thick, maybe 1/4 an inch to 1/2 inch thick. I have only had my slippers for about a month, but I’ve worn them often. The foam is still intact. When I rub my hand on the inside, I can feel a slight indentation where my toes go. I love mine. **Q: Are the feathers real?** A: Yes the feathers are real and the slipper is elegant and memory form inside, my granddaughter loved them it was a shower gift to go with some PJs I order for her.. **Q: Are these washable???** A: I don’t know.
