**Q: The internal thread is not engaging to my lamp stem but it is identical to my broken fitting. Why?**
A: The socket has an internal thread of M10x1. As described in the offer. Please do not confuse this with the M10 standard thread. Fine thread M10x1 has a different pitch and is used, for example, in the lighting industry.

**Q: Will this screw onto a large bayonet pendant to convert to e27 please?**
A: Good day,
the E27 socket has an inside thread of M10x1 on the back. By using a threaded pipe M10x1 (metric thread) the socket can be mounted as desired.

**Q: How are the electrical wires attached? No screws in back of socket .**
A: The wires push up through the centre of the base into 2 separate channels and are held by springy copper plates.  Simple and effective. No screws.   Double the exposed wires over and twist so that they are firm enough to push past the plates and be gripped.

**Q: Can this be used for ceiling light shades or is just for table lamps?**
A: For table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling lamps etc.
