Review: 95% perfect. - Nearly perfect, I needed to swap out my mechanical lock for a digital for uniform combinations on all my safes. install and set up was straightforward and simple. Functions 100% and locks up solid and fits like the factory lock assembly. The only part I don't care for is the keypad panel could lock into place tighter. It is not a deal breaker since it was a retrofit for my 30 year plus safe. While mildly annoying, it would buy this lock assembly again and would recommend. 4.8 stars because of the keypad.

Replaced the original lock which failed to open every time (common problem with Cannon) with this lock, with only minor modification. Only needed to drill/tap two new 8-32 holes to mount the keypad, the original hole pattern is horizontal--the S&G is vertical mounting studs. The quality of this lock is very good for the price.

**Q: Will this fit a 24 gun Safari brand safe? I’m not sure which company makes this safe.**
A: Most safes regardless of brand use the same combo lock but Am not sure about yours

**Q: will this fit a field and stream safe?**
A: I have no clue but find out who is making their safes maybe it one that this lock would work on

**Q: Does this keypad come with the wire between lock and keypad**
A: Yes, comes with everything needed to replace an old lock.

**Q: Is there a certain way to get this lock apart to install it?**
A: Not really , pretty much self explanatory,  if you just need a new key pad or if you need to replace it all, the keypad should twist apart and is held on door by a couple screws. Should be a plate then the keypad. My keypad was bad I just replaced it, kept the new lock for a spare.
