**Q: Hi, do these announce the weight in stones as well as kg?**
A: Yes this scale weighs in Stones and pounds as well as Kg's

**Q: I only have a 29x29cms hard area, not carpetted. Will the feet of these scales fit on this? The top of the scales can then overlap onto the carpet.**
A: The feet are very low to the ground so may foul a the carpet

**Q: does the 'voice' go quite loud. Not only is my mother blind but also rather deaf?**
A: There are 3 settings for the Volume: Off; Low; High. I use the Low setting and have reasonable hearing for an OAP. I have just tried the high setting and it is somewhat louder but I couldn't tell you whether someone with hearing impairment would be able to hear it. Downloadable instructions(including Braille & Audio)  for use are available on the RNIB site.

**Q: How do yoy turn the scales on and off**
A: There is no  need to turn the scale on or switch it off after use. To use the scale simply stand on the scale (whilst in the off position) the scale will then turn itself on and then after a few seconds will speak your weight, which is stored on the display for 10 to 15 seconds and thus can also be read affter stepping off the scale. One note of caution is that with all personal scales you must remain very still in order for the scale to take a reading. This is best done by remaining still for a moment before stepping onto the scale then looking straight ahead and not attempting to look at the display.
