U.S. Art Supply Multi-Function Artist Supply Box with Locking Clasps & Removable Tray - Wooden Art Box for Artist Supplies, Brushes, Pencils, Erasers, Tool Storage Organizer Case

How wonderful to find this product again -- used to buy them at Aaron Brothers art supplies -- but they went out of business and I just couldn't find them for the longest time.

I actually bought this artist case to store my collection of essential oil bottles. There are purpose-made cases for that, but they run almost twice the price, and don't accommodate the different sizes I have as well as this case: I'm using it without the included tray, to accommodate my "taller" bottles (4 oz / 120 ml ; with droppers). So as a bonus, I've got the tray to use on a shelf somewhere, to organize odds and ends. I like that the dividers on the bottom can be removed (I've removed just one short one), but also like the fact that they are there... they help keep my bottles of essential oils upright. As far as construction/aesthetics, while it's not super-fine craftsmanship (at this price, I wouldn't expect it to be), but mine arrived in great condition, all corners well matched without any of the gaps some other reviewers have encountered. So it's fair to say it's very well made considering the price. The latches and hinges on mine are perfectly fine, secure, straight and work great. All in all, I would recommend.

I originally bought this to be my “paint box” for en plain air oil painting. Before I could use it for that purpose, I got delayed by weather and other things. I decided to use it for storing my watercolor paining supplies in my studio. I perfectly suits all my watercolor paint tubes, brushes, masking fluid, styluses, tape, basically everything but watercolor paper, palettes and painting easels. Then, when I finally got back to en plain air oil painting I decided to buy another one. Both are great! Beautiful, well-constructed, nicely designed. The second box fits well in my very large en plain air easel backpack. It fits almost everything I take into the field: 200ml oil paint tubes, palette knives, bottles of medium and terps, rulers, girded viewfinders, etc. And it takes a lot of rough treatment. It gets thrown around and bounced hard in my backpack, plunked down on grass, rocks, and muddy ground, and it holds up very well. I would have been happy if it had lasted a couple months, but so far it has lasted over a year. Very durable. A great purchase if it were three times the price!

This box is larger than I expected, which is a nice surprise, and perfectly holds my journaling supplies. It would be nice if the partitions on the bottom level had more options for reconfiguration. The way it's currently designed, they are set. Overall, it's a good, well-made, and inexpensive toolbox.

The box was roomier on the inside than I expected, so I was very pleased! Could fit all my paint brushes, even the lengthier ones that I couldn’t typically fit into my previous art supply boxes. Was able to fit ALL my watercolor art supplies and in a rather organized fashion, with the smaller dividers being removable. The long ones are removable as well, but are slightly more snug in their places. Love the simplistic wood. Sturdy! Was concerned after reading reviews about the top section fitting loosely and creating noise with all the wobbling but it fit well in my opinion. No complaints here! Has two little black ribbons on either side go lift top section out, which is a nice touch even though you could just as easily lift it out by the middle divider. Planning on staining the wood a shade or two darker just for fun! There is no finish on the wood - not shiny - it’s dull but has been sanded down nicely for a smooth finish.

Great raw painters box. I laser engraved the heck out of it on my Creality Falcon2 10W laser engraver. It engraved super nice onto this painter's box. So my niece got a really cool custom painter's box so she can start making cool pieces of art on canvas.

I use mine for paint (gouache) and brush storage. The only thing it really misses is a proper handle cutout on the top drawer. The middle divider really needs a hole for your hand so it would be easer to pick up. Other than that it's a lovely looking storage box. Seems to be holding up well so far (I've had it for a couple of years).

This is a very well made box and it serves well for a collection of art materials. The only thing that could be better is to be able to remove the lower partition/dividers and still have the top tray sit in its original position. Without the divider, the tray just sits crooked atop the materials stored below. Any easy fix though, with a couple of glued wooden strips.
