I have a Harbor Freight flexshaft, the original flexshaft cable lasted for 4? years before it failed. It's a risk buying cheap chinese replacement for a cheap chinese part, but I dropped it into the flexshaft hose, tightened the set screw, fired it up - works fine. Reasonably smooth, and I don't hear the way the old one's internal spring got scrambled and was trying to chew its way out. n.b. don't buy this if you think it'll work in your drill chuck or whatever. It's not for that. It's for a flex shaft unit - hanging motor, drive cable in a reinforced hose, standard (not keyless) handpiece.

Too soft and weak for any use
Very lightweight material and broke at the connection point the first moment it was used. Even the slightest resistance will snap this tool. So weak I am not sure it would work on balsa wood.

My need to purchase the set screw separately
Product did not come with set screw was able to get one at Lowes though was able to fine one that fit.
