Parker Ingenuity 5th Technology Pen, Medium Point with Black Ink Refill 1972232 - Deluxe Deep Red

Lovely pen write smoothly and is a good weight in your hand. It a unique design but not too expensive, I really like it. Just love Parker pens.

I really don't know what to give this pen as a rating. I had high expectations, but I was disappointed. Not with the finish, that is impeccable and it would make a great gift or presentation. Nor with the actual writing - although I've only had it a few days, it's smooth, stylish and glides effortlessly across the page. In fact in many ways it's pen that Parker should rightly be proud of.Except for me this isn't a fountain pen, it's a felt or roller tip (I'm not quite sure what it is actually - refill says roller). Look at the pictures - looks like an elegant nib, looks like a fountain pen with wet ink and a real nib that has those calligraphic qualities. But it's not. It's all just styling. Even the detailed description says: "Experience innovation in its most daring form with PARKER Ingenuity Fountain Pens". But for me a fountain pen draws up liquid ink from a bottle, or uses cartridges; has a (at this price point) beautifully made, perhaps of gold, nib that is designed to flex and flows with your hand pressure to make elegant letters on a sheet of paper. This nicely made pen may do all of this, but despite the looks and description, this is not a fountain pen.

The pen itself is very nice. The main problem, unfortunately, lies in the fact that the refills make the average mayfly look ancient, running out far too quickly. The refills are also rather expensive. After getting through four refills in four months, the pen (a gift) sits in a pen pot on my desk and I use either a fountain pen or a cheap disposable fibre tip which writes more nicely, lasts longer and weighs in at something like 55% of the cost of the refill for this.Which hints at the other issue, which is that it’s nothing special to write with. A Papermate Flair (or whatever they call them these days), or one of the Pilot range of pens is nicer to use. You may as well buy a fountain pen or a ballpoint from the ranges of Parkers with a comparable price-point (the Parker rollerball, in my experience isn’t that nice to use compared to, again, the humble Pilot G2). If the option to use something other than the Parker refill existed, then I might be persuaded to try using mine again, but I can’t see it.It’s a shame, but the refills and the writing experience really let this pen down.

Je me l'étais commandé, car Parker fait des stylos exceptionnels, supérieurs à Mont-Blanc pour les plumes ( pas de fuites ) et parce que le concept ma paraissait novateur.... grosse déception : certes le corps du pseudo stylo plume est d'une grande qualité, mais l'expérience d'écriture avec ce qui est vendu comme étant une nouvelle génération incontournable d'instrument d'écriture...... fait flop en ce qui me concerne..... je trouve le débit de la pointe-feutre limite, une certaine rigidité désagréable.Bref, je renvoie mon stylo le lendemain, c'est une erreur de commande !Si vous voulez du feutre avec encre indélébile de qualité c'est le Schneider Xpress ! et là............

É uma excelente caneta, bom material para esta nova geração da Parker.Excelente tinta e escrita.Equilibrada, suave e de boa escrita.Cor bonita e bem apresentada.

Der Parker-Ingenuity-Schreiber ist ein zu teurer Tintenschreiber mit wenig Innovation.„Lernen Sie mit diesem Parker Ingenuity-Füllfederhalter Innovation in seiner aufregendsten Form kennen.“ So beschreibt die Firma Parker Pens, die vor etwa 125 Jahren gegründet wurde, ihren etwa zweihundertundfünfzig Euro teuren Tintenschreiber.Doch worin besteht diese Innovation und ist sie ihr Geld wert? Das soll der Test beantworten.Das Schreibgerät wiegt 28 Gramm. Die Oberfläche ist geriffelt und besteht aus „aufregendem, sandgestrahltem eloxiertem Aluminium, Ringe und einer Kappe mit geätztem Muster sowie einer ziselierten Schreibfeder.“ Aufregung ist wohl überall dabei. Das Gerät fühlt sich angenehm an, aber für mein Empfinden ist es zu leicht. Weniger aufregend ist es, die Kappe abzuziehen. Viel zu schwer lässt sich diese lösen, man stelle sich das Szenario vor, ein wichtiger Vertrag soll unterschrieben werden, der Protagonist zückt sein Schreibgerät, einen Parker Ingenuity, lächelt und scheitert dann an der Kappe. Ich dachte, das gibt sich mit der Zeit, doch mehrmaliges Öffnen und Schließen bringt keinen Erfolg.Ist diese Hürde gemeistert zeigt sich die ziselierte Feder, schön sieht sie aus.Bevor ich aber nun zum Schreibergebnis komme, sollte vielleicht geklärt werden, was unter einem Füllfederhalter verstanden wird. Die Definition laut Wikipedia ist folgende, „Ein Füllfederhalter, kurz auch Füllhalter, Füllfeder oder Füller genannt, ist ein Schreibgerät in Stiftform, das mittels einer Metallfeder Tinte auf Papier überträgt“. Nun bezeichnet Parker seinen Ingenuity-Stift sowohl als Füllfederhalter als auch als Tintenschreiber und beides trifft irgendwie auf den Parker Schreiber zu. Es ist kein richtiger Füllfederhalter, da es nicht die Feder ist, die die Tinte aufs Papier überträgt sondern die Mine (Ersatz kostet übrigens etwa 7 Eur).Das Schreiben hat mich enttäuscht. Das Gerät ist zu leicht und lässt sich auch nicht gut greifen. Der Ingenuity dreht sich manchmal, was aber nicht das Schreiben behindert. Die Tinte schmiert nicht, doch so ein aufregendes Schreiben ist es nicht mit dem Stift, manchmal habe ich mehr Aufregung mit einem Kugelschreiber.

I LOVE this pen body. I wish it was a fountain pen though. he fiber nib is okay but they don't write for very long. The faux nib is a novelty that they really didn't need. Just make it a fiber pen or a roller ball and move along. It would do perfectly well as either without trying to pretend it is something it is not.
