Quality Sheffield Steel
I own several Richardson knives and this is of the same quality and feel as the others. Like anything made of steel from Sheffield the blade is great quality and slices home made and store bought loaves into thin slices. Id previously been using a chef's knife to slice but this allows me to go thinner and straighter allowing me to get more out of a loaf, preventing it from ripping and I find making my bread last longer.The handle feels nice, I'm not certain that it's wood but it sits nicely in the hand and is comfortable to use. It's got a full tang which is essential for a good knife, unlike some imports. It also matches my two other Richardson knives (a chef's and santoku) in appearance which is a bonus. There's also a 15 year guarantee for if his ever breaks, which I doubt.
