I was skeptical, but while I was writing this review, my French Bulldog puppy went under my desk and dispatched yet another USB cable (the blue one - see photo). Mind you yesterday when I got this armored cable, I video'd several segments while my "test equipment" went through his chewing and gnawing tests. Glad to say that the cable held up to the Bulldog test. Mind you our puppy now has mostly adult teeth, not the singular prickly fangs that he had as a puppy... but I doubt the cable would have had a problem with even his puppy teeth. The cable is "springy" lengthwise, doesn't feel overly heavy - doesn't really feel much like metal - though it appears to be. The cable(s) however are well armored. I'm SURE Zeus, the French Bulldog, could damage the very ends. They are well made, but the USB A connector would almost certainly be crushed by a strong bite at the very end. I'm not too worried about that, however. I've attached video and still shots of the "test" and results of both a good quality nylon sheathed cable, and this LHJRY cable. After the dog testing, I tried this cable with my Samsung Galaxy S9 + charger and it works in high-speed charge. I paired the cable with a USB-C to USB Micro adapter and attached it to a Galaxy Tab tablet which also worked well. That's good to know because this cable apparently isn't available in the USB micro format. I haven't tried using the cable for data transfer... so can't speak to that aspect. Of course the USB c to USB Micro adapter I used is NOT hardened, so that would be a weak point - but acceptable because the device - and thus the ends are usually out of reach. Unfortunately I could not upload two videos. In the second video I survey the cable and find no damage at all! By the way, our French Bulldog has a reputation for chewing just about anything to bits... and eating the bits. He's chewed through ethernet cables, power cords (which is perhaps the scariest), soda bottles, and more. So having this cable hold up to Zeus' chewing is well worth the price.

I can verify it's 100% chew proof, as my cat tries to off herself by chewing things she shouldn't roughly a dozen times a day. I'm not including a picture because frankly, it's a cord. Go ahead and buy it though. I thought the cost was cheap enough and it's good quality.

My cats hate these. They tried to munch but quickly dropped the cord. One even gagged. Finally, cords they can't/won't chew through! Work with fast chargers, no issues or complaints highly recommend!

I have not used these cords for long. I do like the fact you get two of them. Overall they seem pretty sturdy, the length is also a big plus. They look a lot better than the cheap cords manufacturers like to ship with their new phones.

These cords work great in the beginning. They fast charge and the length is great. However, they only work for a couple of months. I have bought two sets of two cords. Two of them simply stopped working. They will not register at all when you plug them in. The connectors on the other two just fell out and there is no getting them back in and making them work. The idea behind these cords is good but this is a very short term product and not at all worth purchasing. Frustrating!!

OK... my wife brought home a tiny, cute, fluffy puppy. Who couldn't love that. Then it found it could chew through cords and the cute ran out quick. I lost a vacuum, a paper shredder, and 5 (yes 5) charging cables. I was seriously tired of losing any cord not coiled and tucked away when not in use (lost 2 while they were in use!). Then I found these little beauties!! as a test I took one and put peanut butter on the USB C end and showed it to the puppy... she attacked and a tug of war ensued. After the cord was retrieved (yes, I did overpower the 6 pound puppy) I plugged it in to check the damage... phone charged like a dream... no damage... none... If you have a puppy, kitten, small child, or undisclosed rodent problem these are the charging cords for you. They also look pretty cool.

These are the first cables to survive an attack by my rabbit. She sometimes hates things that dangle or lie on the floor. I watched her pick one up and start yanking hard on it and trying to chew on it. The cord still looks brand new!! With the way these are made, I expect them to last years. I'll update my review if this changes. Update- after a year and a half and a few more rabbits, these cords are still going strong. They've chewed up plenty of others, but not these. I wish they made them in other types.

I bought this because my daughters puppy ate my factory Samsung charging cord. As soon as I plugged this in Oscar (Dachshund) grabbed the center of the cord and ran off dragging the power strip behind him. The metal casing is very flexible and springy which initially concerned me, but after close inspection he did no damage to the cord even with his needle like teeth. The cord works great and my phone charges quickly with it. I would recommend it for anyone who has pets chew through their electronics cords.

I purchased one of these and it didn’t work out of the box. I was hoping it was just a lemon and so I ordered another since my one cat is a wire goblin and these looked like a good solution. Turns out both the new ones in this pack don’t work either. I am returning them tomorrow.

It will say it is connected but not charging. Really disappointing.

Yes it's a strong cable, but animal teeth could still get through to it because it's only wrapped in a wire coil, not actually encased by layered rings like the picture shows.

**False advertisement do not buy** Don't waste your money, they do NOT fast charge. Tested both cables with two different phones, my Samsung was slow charging but my husband's Google pixel wouldn't even allow the cable to charge the phone since the charging power is so poor.
