2Pcs ATX PC Computer Motherboard Switch On/Off/Reset Power Cable 50CM

This is a great little piece of kit! I had a PC that one morning refused to boot up. I checked the power supply, it was good, looked over the motherboard and all seemed to be ok, RAM was good, CPU was good etc. I went through a lot of troubleshooting in the end and considered the purchase of a new Motherboard. Before I did I stripped everything out of the case and purchased a set of these. I benched the Motherboard and connected everything up, and connected one of these switches to it. Low and behold everything sprung to life. To cut a long story short it would appear that the power button on the PC case was faulty, why had I not checked this first... The case was new, only two weeks old! All in all, these saved me the cost of another motherboard, very pleased.

The switch was used to replace a non available broken switch on a computer

The wire works fine. It’s just a replacement for a broken power button wire. I’ve given it four stars because it could do with being 20cm longer to get from the motherboard, around the case to the desired position at the front more easily.

I was actually using these wires to bastardise so that I could use them to fit a Jaguar clock in a Jaguar X-Type, this arrived next day and were perfect for what I needed. Job done!

Perfect for what I needed

I ordered this because I wanted to build a PC out of spare parts but didn't have a case (I ended up using a pizza box). This cable works well if you just want a functioning computer but you don't have a front panel switch for whatever reason. However, as an actual button, it didn't work for me. All it seems to do is bridge the two pins so power can flow through them, turning the PC on. If your power supply is on, the computer will be on. Pressing the button doesn't do anything at all. So like I said, if all you need is a functional computer, this works fine, but if you want to be able to turn on/off the computer without touching the PSU, this isn't for you.

Got these to test if the power-on issues that I was having on my PC were related to power button or other issue. These worked as well as my existing power button so they helped me narrow down that the issue was not with the button. They work exactly how you would expect and were good enough value

Einbau hat gut geklappt und es geht zu 100%

Monté comme bouton de reset pour ma carte mère, en cas de pépin. Je n’ai pas encore eu à l’utiliser mais les deux boutons fonctionnent correctement, j’ai testé la continuité avec un ohm-mètre. Précision, le contact se fait tant que vous pressez le bouton, au relâchement c’est un contact ouvert.
