Call of Duty 2 (Game of the Year Edition)

This is an old game and I have nearly every game in the c.o.d. franchise; playing this game makes it easy to understand why call of duty is such a huge hit: The gameplay even in this early game is still excellent, all they did was improve on something that was already an awesome game. I've got other games with stellar graphics that put this games graphics to shame, but the game is so much fun to play I don't care. The graphics were excellent when it was originally released, and have since been surpassed by each and every subsequent c.o.d., but it's still an excellent game just because it's so much fun. If you like first person shooters and are looking for a bargain on an old game, grab this one and you won't regret it.

I ordered Call of Duty 2. I got Call of Duty 2 Game of the Year version (twice after returning the first one) which is actually part of a larger box set according to the print on the manual. There is no key-code in the manual or on the back of the manuel. I can't play this game at all. I've returned it once for a replacement and I'm going to return this one for the exact same reason: No key-code! This isn't like Amazon.com at all. I'm not rating them, I'm rating this product. You'll find the same review on the Call of Duty 2 (not deluxe or game of year which is what I ordered both times) as well. Really, I have no choice but to return this 2nd game for a refund. I would've liked to play the game but no luck here.

Bought this for my son who was so excited to get it. Now he and his friends can play together.

CALL OF DUTY 2 first released on the PC was ported over for the Xbox 360 as a launch title. Though the game is now six years old it still stands the test of time providing entertainment to those wishing to revisit the Call of Duty (COD) series on Xbox 360 ( not including the DLC Call of Duty Classic XBLA game. ) a good place to begin. Though lacking on many of the staples such as the ability to sprint or a quick melee, the action is solid enough to enjoy. The story switches sides a few times and if you have ever played a COD game such as World at War or COD 3 you will feel right at home switching between a Russian new recruit to the Red Army, a Desert Tank unit in north east Africa, and franticly storming the beaches on D-Day. COD 2 is an excellent choice for those wishing to begin conquering the COD series on veteran or perhaps new players wishing to visit the roots of this now billion dollar shooter franchise.

This is probably one of the best war games out there .... very good graphics .... the difficulty level is high, extremely entertaining ... kind of doesn`t let you put down the controller .... I will be purchasing the other call of duty games ....

I think that this is game should be played in the prospective of understandting the demands of war, and what soldiers generally go through in their lives. As for pure entertainment, I don't like shooting people in general. Otherwise, its great.

Good game, I just expected to get the Game Of The year Edition as it says.
