My favorites, although not necessarily for everyone
I discovered these cookies while working in Melbourne, Australia for a few months. I got to the point where I was eating them every day. They are especially good for dunking. Out of the package, they're pretty hard. Softening them up with a bit of a dunk in tea and they achieve a delightful texture. I love them straight out of the package or dunked. Either way, I still eat them pretty much every day. They are not like "Ginger Snaps" of any kind you'll find in the US.

As good as in Australia
I love these when we lived in Australia and they are as good as I remember. Expensive but a nice treat once a year.

Expensive import to USA, not as good as Nabisco.
The price will keep me from buying these again but they are the best import I've found. I've tried many random USA brands, which are generally sweeter with more molasses, and McVitie's (another expensive import). NABISCO ginger snaps are harder, the ginger flavor can peel the skin off your tongue and roof of the mouth like I prefer, and they are cheap in the USA. A long time ago my first ginger cookie was in a box "off the shelf" from a supermarket I've forgotten. I swear, it was so hard you could break a tooth and the ginger-clove ratios so high they could make gums bleed... finding those again is becoming my holy grail. In my very limited experience these are the hardest import so far with ginger forward, and without too much sweetness. It seems from the manufacturer's website that these would be the New South Wales recipe but who knows, or even if this seller would be consistent between versions. For now Nabisco ginger snaps are the best IMO.

My hubby loves a biscuit or 2 or more with his coffee in the evening and gingernuts always go down well.
