Ultimate Science Blast

I bought this experiment kit for my 7 year old nephew who loves science and is easily bored. He loved doing them and had a lot of fun. The volcano comes with a lot of extra powder so you can make it "explode" several times if you want to. The crystal dino turns out really cool looking but is really, really fragile-the "blooms" on it can be destroyed by just a little jiggle, so I recommend putting this in a place it won't be jarred as soon as the liquid goes in. The bouncy balls turn out great. My nephew was able to make 5 1/2 of them. They are sticky right out of the molds, but about 5-10 minutes sitting by themselves dried them out and were really bouncy right after.We have not done the slime or putty ones yet.The only bad experiment in the group so far has been the bugs. We did one batch and they just wouldn't come out of the molds in one piece-almost like semi-firm jello. The next batch, I tried warmer water and more stirring and put a little cooking spray in the mold. While they did come out a lot easier, they still were jello consistency and fell apart with very little touch. Couldn't even play with them.Overall, though, I do recommend this kit. It also comes with a little book with other experiments you can do which is a nice add on.

Wonder if other reviews were paid reviews.... the set is really luck luster. The volcano does not "erupt" at all; there is a small indentation to put pop rocks type of mixture that fizzes a little and that's it, the crystals were so so and there is really no explanation to anything, so zero learning. My kid 6yr enjoyed fine but thought it was a huge let down.

My 5 year old son and I really enjoyed the Ultimate Science Blast Kit. It has 4 different activities to do. My son did need my help but the directions were easy and low mess. I think a 7+ would have no issues doing them alone. Our favorite was making the bouncy balls.

A little disappointing. The "experiments" didn't teach a lot, and were really just mixing a compound with water. Stuff is messy and sticky. My daughter list interest quickly

The instructions are short and to the point. Super easy to follow and the experiments actually work. They were so easy to do that my 7 year old could have done them all by himself....but that wouldn't have been fun for me so we worked together. Would buy again.

This is a lot of fun !mfor kids and parents !I will definitely recommend a parent to supervise

A lot messy but some items are cool. Others didn't work. All on all I think a fun project for 8 year olds. With supervision An outside project with newspaper for the mess
