I have been wearing this vanilla perfume by pacifica for over 10 years and I love it! I thought they were discontinuing it for a while, because it was hard to find, and I couldn't find anything else quite like it, so I am glad it is back in stock. It smells like vanilla cookies, or that is what my husband always says, and I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. It is not expensive but still quality which I also appreciate!

I originally stumbled across this fragrance in the Pacifica sampler pack and I fell in love with the scent. For years I have loved vanilla scents but something about this fragrance drew me in immediately. I would describe this scent as very sweet, candy-like and, tropical but of course the hints of vanilla tie it all together, in a very playful, refreshing sort of way. The reason I give this product a 4 star instead of a five is due to the longevity of the scent which in my opinion is quite short. The scent itself is a 5 star and I will continue to use it but I find that I have to reapply throughout the day and spray the perfume a couple times to achieve a somewhat lasting smell. I bought this perfume because I have been using the Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel body mist for a couple years now but anyone who uses B&BW knows their body mist scents do not last at all. Plus, Vanilla Bean Noel is a seasonal scent that only comes back during the winter season, so if I run out (and I typically do because of how much I have to spray and reapply) I am left to wait until they release it again during the winter seasons. Because of that, I finally decided to invest my time in finding a perfume that will last longer and I will still love the scent as much as Vanilla Bean Noel. I am sad to say Pacifica's Island Vanilla spray perfume only checks off one of those considerations for me. As for the longevity of this Pacifica perfume, I find myself reapplying every couple hours or so. Also, the bottle is 1 fl oz and I received my bottle on Jan 2nd. It is currently Jan 23 and I have less than a 3rd of the bottle left. (I’ve included pictures of what’s left of the bottle). Finally, one small thing that slightly bothers me but I’ll still continue to buy regardless is that the bottle does not come with a cap. With that being said, whenever I bring it with me in my purse or incase I want to travel with it, I have the fear that it will leak and ruin my purse. I don’t believe it is a one time error where they forgot to put a cap on my specific bottle because I went in to Target one day and looked at the Indian Coconut Nectar fragrance in the same packaging and bottle and that one did not come with a cap as well. Besides the longevity and the cap detail, I will still be repurchasing once my bottle runs out but I wish I didn’t have to repurchase as often due to it being labeled as a perfume.

The Island Vanilla perfume used to be my favorite a few years ago... now it's absolute garbage. I have bought several bottles of it in the past, and even the rollerball pen when they used to have that. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the old perfume, but whatever they did to it in the last couple years since I last bought it absolutely ruined it. It smells good for literally only minutes now whereas it used to last for hours before. I don't know if they completely changed the formula or just waaaay thinned out the old version... but whatever they did to it is HORRIBLE now. I wouldn't spend a nickel on this perfume now. I still have a little left of what I bought a couple years ago and when that's gone I'll have to find a new favorite since this sure won't be it anymore. I'm sooooo bummed cuz I USED TO really love this perfume. :-(

3 stars because I love the fragrance, but the bottle came half empty. I'm not going to go to the trouble of returning, so I guess I'm stuck with half the product at full price. I really do like the scent, but not sure I would chance purchasing again. I hope customer service will step up to address this problem.

Could honestly cry tears of joy. Fell in love with this scent a while back when I bought it from target. The smell is the perfect vanilla. It’s sweet but not sickening sweet. It’s fresh and clean smelling but not strong. I loved it so much I sat up S&S on Amazon for all the products! I noticed recently it’s not the same packaging at target or Ulta the bottle is different. And when I smelled it it was awful! Smelled NOTHING like the original that I fell in love with! I held my breath waiting on my shipment to come in just hoping it was the original.. IT IS!!!! I know this seems small but everything I’ve ever used perfume wise gives me a headache! This smells amazing. Lasts all day! And doesn’t give me a headache! Please please please don’t ever stop making the original. It can’t be beat. I’ll never buy the new kind in the pink bottle it’s nothing like this! This is perfect!!! (Insert chefs kiss)

The smell is amazing. It's very intense, and fits me perfectly. Can't say anything bad about this product. The smell lasts quite a long time, too. It's perfect for me.
