G-Shock GBD800UC-8 Grey One Size

I have purchased this watch 4 times I know I should be smart money wise and Change the battery but it is my everyday item the color goes with everything

Great watch. very sturdy. viewing watch display is a little tough indoors if its not well lighted. the Casio app is good but some settings wont stay on the watch after setting them and having to reconnect the Bluetooth every time is a hassle. wish it could stay connected when its within range.

Great watch

I bought this watch to wear while at work. I work in Chemical plants and refineries, so rugged and durable were two things high on my priority list. The G-Shock watch is legendary for exactly those characteristics. I have a smaller wrist, so the size of the case is perfect. I have no visibility issues as have been reported by others. I'm not sure if the color of my watch (Grey) has anything to do with that. I'm able to read the dial at almost any angle. Setup was easy through the smartphone app. I do intend to use the Step Tracker, but it isn't why I purchased the watch, so it won't sway my opinion one way or the other, but I'll report back if I have anything to report. Would buy again.

I like the grey color of the watch, as well as the general G-Shock look etc. It is most comparable to my G-Shock DW9052, and smaller and lighter than my Rangeman. I got a really good value deal on this so I'm pleased with that aspect ($85). I paired it easily with the casio app. I mainly got this watch for the steptracking thing. No clue yet as to how accurate that is, and I dont actually care if its "accurate" as long as its consistent in its measurement. If I figure that out, Ill try to update this review. Seems reasonably durable, albeit, feels a little "softer" than some of my other g-shocks. Not in a way that makes it feel more breakable. Maybe it has been too long since I've had a new one. Either way, I find this to be a solid and affordable modern take on a g-shock, with some connected options through bluetooth but otherwise its just a regular watch. August 17 edit after a few months of ownership: I still like this watch and the step counter is indeed very consistent. Again no idea how 'accurate' it is, but I have walked the same route just about every day since I got it and its always within a couple percent of being the same number of steps- which could easily be me taking slight variations as I walk around obstacles etc etc. So I would say very consistent in how it tracks steps. I also mind the date feature less than I did when I got it- probably got more used to it. All in all, I probably like the watch itself more than I did before. The app you're supposed to use with it is sadly not good though. In terms of reading the watch face, it is darker than most, however even just the light from my computer screen and no other light in the room was enough to make it at least legible. If you're not used to this type of watch display or have poor vision etc, I might consider looking for a different watch / trying to find a display like this in person to look at before buying. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the date format is locked into YY-MM-DD and this watch is being sold in a US market. I understand and respect that we do the date display differently here, but for a watch that has the ability to connect to your phone, you'd expect at least being able to change the display as an option etc.

My husband loves it! It has more stuff than the one he had years ago. Fits well. No slipping of the band. It’s a little hard for me to read at certain angels but he doesn’t feel the same.

I really like this watch, especially the grey color. I wanted something a bit nicer than what I had for weekends, running errands, etc. I didn’t really get it for any of the features and this is my first G-Shock. I usually wear a Movado for work but don’t want to wear it all the time when I’m outside of work so this is as much style as I need. I know G-shocks have a great reputation so I felt it was worth the price.

My husband ONLY wears and buys G SHOCK. His last watch lasted 7years. Screen is easy to see, waterproof, he never takes off his watch and he puts it through the wringer ! Will buy over and over again

Siempre había querido tener un G-Shock, la verdad los puntos fuertes de este reloj superan sin duda a sus contras: Pros: -Es ligero y cómodo, no estorba para realizar las actividades del día a día, lo cual se agradece, además que la correa no es exageradamente larga y se ve bien ya puesto en la muñeca. -Se puede configurar perfectamente mediante la app, alarmas, el tiempo de encendido de la luz, etc, es muy útil la aplicación. -Es un buen añadido el contador de pasos, en mi caso no lo compré por eso, pero parece que es preciso. -Por último las características de todos los G-Shock en general, en cuanto a resistencia al agua, sumergirlo y con algunos golpes el reloj no tiene absolutamente ningún problema, es resistente por demás, incluido el cristal mineral que es muy difícil que se llegue a rayar con un uso normal de actividades del día a día. Contras: -Obviamente al ser un reloj con pantalla en negativo, la visibilidad con poca luz es muy limitada por no decir nula, ojo, pero la luz de fondo que se puede configurar de uno a tres segundos soluciona este problema, así que en oscuridad la luz del reloj es indispensable y cumple muy bien. Mientras que en el día al menos yo no he tenido ningún problema al leer el display. -No es un reloj discreto, a pesar de que no es gigante como otros G-Shock, sí se da a notar por su diseño y grosor de un reloj de trabajo. Esos serían los únicos dos contras que le puedo encontrar a este reloj, un favorito para mi en cuestión de aguante, funcionalidad y look, el cual me encanta cómo se ve en la muñeca, 100% recomendado.

Really like it. Almost wear it everyday from last 8 months. I have 10 other watches. But this is my daily wear watch. Display got scratched a little easiy, so I recommend ordering screen protector at the same time.

This is my second G-Shock. I also have a DW-6900, which I simply love, but the band is starting to crack after a good 7 years using it almost every day. I would only use my other watches if I had to attend a wedding ceremony or any very formal occasions. I'm a Mechanical Engineer, I used every single day in college, at work or at the gym, but I would take it off as soon I got home (so, eventual showers, rain, shallow diving once or twice, and a lot of sweat ((okay, that was gross, but true))) Arrived in 48 hours with prime, all certificates and manuals were in the can (the can in the box is another indicator that's legit). I downloaded the app, registered my watch and it synced everything to me. I didn't have to adjust anything, you can do it from your phone. It took me over an hour to read the manual and understand all functions, but now it's cool. Cool feature: In case you lose your phone at home, hold "D" for 5 seconds and it sends a FIND signal to your phone. It will make it ring so you can find it.
