How do I programme this remote if I already have working one ?

Needs to be master remote. Look on YouTube u can find videos of how to do it. Very simple to program.

Does this come with a battery already fitted?

Yup.2 AAAs..but i bought some just in case it didn't.

Is this comparable with the XT28685?

The XT2 part of the product name refers to the number of buttons, 2. The 868 refers to the frequency. SLH refers to Self Learning Hopping, which is the way the codes continually change for security. LR refers to Long Range, this model has a slightly more powerful transmitter. Not sure what the 5 you mention is on your remote but if it's a FAAC model this is highly likely to be a suitable replacement.
