I rebuild engines and components in a heavy equipment shop and I rely on this apron to keep my uniform a little cleaner throughout my day. I use this primarily during teardown when I'm sanding, grinding, and disassembling diry and oily parts. It's durable, takes the abuse well, and I like all the pockets for storing sanding discs, wrenches, and towels and the hammer loops are great for hammers and large pliers. I clean this apron every so often with a heated power washer and diluted degreaser and hang it up overnight to drip dry. It's held up for over a year like this and shows no signs of degradation. If I had to complain about something, it would be the neck strap that can be uncomfortable during extended periods of wear time with the pockets fully loaded. A padded strap, or even just a wider strap, would improve it a lot.

This apron is easy to put on. Durable material and easy to wipe oil and dirt off. Plenty pockets to hold items that you often use for task at hand

Great value excellent storage

I really like the apron. The pockets are flat so they don't get caught on anything and there are leg guards which I find extremely helpful. I'm a special effects makeup artist so this keeps any molding and casting materials off of my clothes in the shop. The only reason why I give this 4 stars is because the tie in the back is really low. I think the back apron tie should go around your waist and not around your butt. I am not short (5'9") and with the waist tie that low, it makes my shirt ride up, exposing my lower back...and sometimes a little of my backside. (I can't help it! Sometimes my hands are covered in muck of some kind and I have to bend over for some reason).

My husband loves this doe tire prepping for the racecar. The dirt doesn’t show and the tire rubber does not stick. Shop must have.

I love Mechanix Wear! I first became aware of the gloves back on the USS. Kitty Hawk (CV-63) in 1992. I saw a bunch of deck division guys wearing them on a working party. I asked them about the gloves, and got a pair, and now Mechanix wear has been a part of my kit since. I wanted a good durable apron for working around the house, carrying things and not hosing up my civilian clothes. I went with a name I know, and I wasn't disappointed. I saw other guys talking about how it failed them during welding, I am looking at using this for light construction projects in my garage, painting, and home repair, even painting my models. For my purposes, this apron is great, and like all good Mechanix wear I have encountered, good quality.

Great product, it has multiple pockets ranging in sizes. I usually keep a couple of combination wrenches handy. It kept grease and dirt away while I handled packing grease, The center pocket where the mechanix logo is placed, it is the right size to keep your iPhone instead of leaving it in the pants pocket while working. Overall, I bought another one to gift to a friend who is also in the automotive trade.
