Nitpickers may quibble that the collection leans too heavily on the band's most popular albums and skips the (admirable if less anthemic) techno-pop tangents of Zooropa and Pop and the earnest energy of the Boy/October years, but the musical majesty accumulated here testifies to the undeniable power and emotion U2 can muster in a four-minute pop song. Two new Rick Rubin-produced tracks don't break new ground for the band, but both would fit snugly somewhere in the U2 canon--"Window in the Skies" is pure late-period arena rock with a typically towering falsetto chorus, while Green Day helps inject some October-era urgency into "The Saints Are Coming". great u2 greatest hits

Very Good One CD Collection
U2 has a lot of great songs, many of which weren't even released as singles. This collection has 18 singles. They're great. Thee from How To Dismantle...? U2 suffers McCartney Syndrome, the desire to convince people that their later music was just as good as their early music. It usually isn't. Nevertheless, this is a very good one CD collection, not unlike the ones from the past couple of years from Elton John, Billy Joel, a few others. I'll probably listen to it fairly often.

Depth and Passion Spanning Several Decades
Ever since I heard "Pride, in the Name of Love" on the radio in the 80's I have enjoyed the passion with which U2 makes music and performs live in concert. All four members of U2 are very unique in their style, sounds, and personality which makes for arguably the best rock band of all time. Change is one of the most difficult things for most people to grapple with, and yet U2 has been able to produce hits over four decades - which is amazing - especially considering how fast music styles have changed in recent years. This collection is excellent and I'm sure big U2 fans will always wish certain songs wouldn't have been left out on any compilation of their music. However, I think that for any "new" U2 fan this collection is a great place to start and I really don't think there is a weak song in the mix. U2 has a profound depth in their music and lyrics and I think bands like Coldplay and Switchfoot come close to their depth, passion and energy in our own time. However, I don't know if anyone will ever come close to being as successful as U2 over a period of 40 years.

This CD has the Monster hits from the 80's, 90's, And the 2000's from world Rockstars U2 led by the one of a kind Bono, All the favorite songs are on this CD, (e.g., "Where the streets have no name", "The Sweetest thing", "Vertigo", "Beautiful Day", etc.), Also includes the new song "The Saint's are coming" Featuring Green Day, A must have CD for your U2 Collection, So glad I found this CD on Amazon.
