Pac-Man--a timeless classic among games. Although over 30 years old, Pac-Man still manages to captivate, challenge, and entertain. It's also been ported to nearly every single video game platform ever in existence; some ports have been good, others bad. The original GameBoy port is one of the good ones!GameBoy Pac-Man retains all the qualities of the original arcade version, with minimal sacrifices. Pac-Man, the maze, the ghosts, dots, fruit--they're all there, and they look just the same as in the arcade (except in monochrome, yet it -works- for this game). Control is very smooth, although the use of the GameBoy's directional pad may take some getting used to for gamers new to the console. Gameplay is also fast and exiting, unlike other ports that slow the game down to varying degrees. The game can be toggled by pressing left or right at the title screen to show either half the maze with nice arcade graphics, or zoomed out showing the whole board (which has smaller sprites, but still playable).All in all, if you're a big Pac-Man fan, a newbie to the series, or even if you just have a case of Pac-Man fever, Pac-Man on the original GameBoy is sure to satisfy your cravings. It's better than any other port of the game I've played, save for the Namco Museum series on Playstation and Playstation 2 (also on GameCube and Xbox).

Yep its your classic Pac-Man on Gameboy plays just like the old Atari game. It is pretty fun for about 10 or 15 minutes or so. But after that there is not a lot to keep you playing for. It is the same background stage layout is the same each time, it does not change like in Mrs. Pac-Man . There are also no cut scenes like in Mrs. Pac-Man. So besides the almighty high score there is not a lot to play for. The game does not keep or save your best overall high scores. The game is fun for young players new to video games. The game does give you the option of a very close view or a full screen view to use. The developer probably should have added Mrs. Pac-Man as well to really enhance the replay value. This is a nice game to have while on the go for those who are not wanting to start a deep quest game or campaign sports game. I ordered this for Easter and Easter morning it would not work. Granted it was used and was inexpensive but if I had known it would not work I would not have put it in the Easter basket. What a disappointment.

It's Pac Man. Enough said. The portability of it is a very nice turn on and the game looks and sounds great.

It's just like the original Pac-Man arcade game but except for, you know... it's a Game Boy game! Other than that if you liked the Pac-Man arcade game, you're going to like this too.
