Winco 2" Dial Commercial Oven Thermometer

My oven knob broke and it's an old gas oven, so I didn't have any way to tell temperature. I got this and it works great! I just hung it from the rack in the oven and it stays there.

I knew my oven thermostat wasn't right! Now I know to lower it by 20 degrees and food doesn't burn. Just hook it towards the back and all you need to do is check it when your oven heats up and see if temps match. Mine just stays in there

small temperature range...only goes down to 50

Truly accurate. My toaster oven had different temperares on back and front, it confirmed that and I was able to work around that. Thanks.

Works great and temp was accurate.

First and foremost, this thermometer was wildly inaccurate. I tested it against a similar $5 oven thermometer by setting the oven to 375 and placing some sugar in a pan. The other thermometer registered a bit under 375 (more like 365) and this one registered 400! After 15 minutes the sugar hadn’t browned/caramelized, meaning that my oven wasn’t truly at 375, so the other thermometer was right and this one was waaaaay off. In addition, the hook to hang this from a rack needed to be bent closed a bit more because it would easily fall off at first. And finally, a personal pet peeve, the other thermometer has 350 at the top of the thermometer, which is vastly preferable. Most things are baked at 350, so it’s easier to tell at a glance of the temp is right by checking if the hand is pointing straight up, instead of having to peer at small numbers and figure out where the 350 is.

Works great to calibrate new oven

The thermometer accuracy completely falls off above about 425 degrees F, and it won't go above 450 no matter how hot the oven gets. I used a instant read laser thermometer to confirm the high temps, but I'd rather have a permanent oven thermometer so I signed have to constantly check with another instrument. The one nice feature of this item is that it goes down to 50 degrees F, which is very helpful for proofing breads. But the high end of the temp range is unreliable.

Me funcionó muy bien para evitar que se quemaran los ingredientes además de que es muy preciso, resistente y barato.

Esta bien y se ve de buena calidad. Lo malo es que los números grandes están en Farenheit y mis recetas en celsius. Así que tengo que hacer la conversión. Me hubiera encantado en celsius.
