perixx PERIPAD-504 Wired Touchpad – USB – 120 x 90 x 19 mm – Scroll and Point Function

Super sensitive, lovely light buttons. Like a laptop touchpad. Just what I was looking for for my homeworking setup. Non-wireless version could probably be a bit more slimline but it's only a minor thing. Also wish it had sidescroll cos I'm old fashioned and two finger scroll isn't natural to me but hey I'm a relic.

Bought this to use with a Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) box. The pointer worked, but the mouse clicks didn't work after login (they did work before login). Others had the same problem on various discussion forums - libinput receives the clicks, but they get lost by xorg. I didn't find a solution, but what does work is running Wayland instead of Xorg. For my purpose, that's fine, but avoid if you need to run Xorg. Note that this probes as a mouse, so don't expect any fancy multi-touch stuff.

A neat little trackpad. It's sensitive and a pleasure to use. I have used an ergonomic mouse for years, as I have some trouble with arthritis in my fingers. This trackpad has relieved my fingers of notable pain and discomfort. Please note that I use a track ball with my left hand, so they can work in conjunction.

Engineering failure. Not what we expect from a German design (made in China). Touch the track-pad to move the pointer and anything may happen. Unable to disable taps. This device needs a dedicated configuration tool. How did it get past R&D appraisal?

just not very helpful - it doesn't allow for precise movements, has a lag and i wanted it most for sideways scrolling & zoom and it's just more inconvenient to use than clicking on a scroll bar = returned

Bought this for a disabled lady who has trouble using a mouse because of her hands. Just plugged it in, it worked straight away (no fiddling around) and solved all her problems. Fab little device. Easy to use

Nice sensitive track pad. Works just like a track pad on a laptop, only bigger and portable to install it where you need it.

Lightweight, and I like the large surface area. Glad I didn't choose a smaller version. Works OK for security camera system, which is what I want it for. But the two buttons don't work on Linux desktop (Ubuntu). The pointer moves quite fast for little movement on the trackpad. The movement seems to be linear rather than exponential, which would make it tricky to use for any fine adjustment. I can't see how that could be configured differently unless it had bespoke driver software.

Perfetto anche su Mac. Per quello che costa davvero ottimo. Ti ci abitui subito. Lavoro con audio video professionali: si può fare!

Very good for if you have finger pain or strain and you use pc for long hours. Only thing improvement they can do is provide a wireless option.

Touchpad qui fait le job, j'en suis satisfaite pour soulager mon poignet et syndrome du canal carpien Bonne sensibilité au toucher, le moins c'est l'épaisseur du touchpad, mais on s'y habitue, je recommande pour bon rapport qualité prix.

Me ha encantado. Funciona muy bien en todas las funciones y es cómodo para usar. Los botones muy suaves. Muy contenta con esta compra, pues es práctico y lo puedes llevar donde necesites. Si no puedes usar ratón convencional, este touchpad es ideal, lo recomiendo.
