A little goes a long way
So nice. Thick and creamy with a faint clean citrus-vanilla-grass scent. Great on backs of hands and shins, feet, cheekbones and around mouth (or wherever you’re dry) in winter. Absorbs quickly for how thick it is, leaves the faintest glow. I haven’t had good results layering over other lotions, it gets sticky as a top layer. Works best for me as a stand-alone, even with the other products in line (light moisture face lotion, body lotion, and body butter). Highly recommend for dry skin.

Game changer for my skin
I decided to try Weleda Skin Food because my daughter, who is 23, uses it religiously on her face. She is 23 with medium skin tone, and I am 55 with fair skin, so it doesn't necessarily seem like the same product would work for both of us. BUT, I do have pretty dry skin so I thought I'd give it a go. I apply it last, at night, after cleansing, using a nighttime moisturizer and a serum. This occlusive cream is rich, acting like a barrier. I was worried it would sticky -- it doesn't -- and that it would make me break out -- it hasn't. I don't quite look like my 23 year old daughter, BUT my skin looks (and more importantly feels) SO MUCH BETTER. Just plumper and more hydrated. It genuinely reduces the appearance of my forehead wrinkles, including my 11 lines between my eyes. I actually started using it in the winter, because I live in New England and ski a lot, my skin is subject to extreme temps. But I now use it year round and carry it with me on all my travels. It has become a staple in my routine. And let's not even talk about the price point -- so so reasonable! The only thing I don't LOVE about it is the way it smells, but it's not too strong and I can definitely live with it. I'm a huge fan.

Lovely product that I hope never changes
I absolutely love this product. I find it to have a pleasant, mild smell and a nice consistency. It is thick but spreads really nicely and gives kind of a sheen to the skin. It absorbs quite well on the body and face. Compared to other plant based creams I’ve used, this one is much less greasy and leaves the skin nicely moisturized without any after effects. I have discovered a specific use for it that cancels the need out for another cosmetic product, namely brow gel. I find this leaves my eyebrows softened and keeps them in place, also gives a bit of shine that is even nicer than the eyebrow gel I’ve bought from sephora. I especially like that Weleda Skin food products are gentle enough to use as an eye cream when you need that extra hydration to fight winter dryness.

Great!
Great non-irritating moisturizer for my sensitive rosacea skin. No burning when using it!! My face feels better and is way less dry, itchy and uncomfortable. No idea how this thick stuff could be used as a makeup primer it’s so thick and takes a while to soak in. I only use it at night. I love how it smells it literally relaxes me.

I’ve known about this product for years.
I’ve used Weleda lip balm in the pink container for over a decade. It’s the only thing I put on my lips. But never bought Skin Food because i never needed extra oil or moisturizing (ive always had normal skin). But now, in my 50s, i became alarmed to see my facial skin becoming unusually dry. Tight dry facial skin. Very uncomfortable but also it looked awful. I suspect a body wash i started using caused this, moreso than hormonal changes. Because for over a decade I've only used a specific glycerin based bar soap. But i switched to a body wash last month and i do believe it dried my skin out badly. Anyway, it freaked me out, so i bought this and within 3 days of use my facial skin looks and feels so much better. Supple, moisturized, and luminous. Totally back to normal, if not an improvement. I am not a claiming miracles, but as for the restorative and moisturizing benefits, I have seen for myself what Skin Food can do. It works. I will always keep this on hand. One month UPDATE: Still very happy. About to order more. I use it on my face, neck, hands, and feet, daily, but will be using something else on my feet from now on, so I can stretch it out for two months at a time. Love.

Fantastic for your face
Fantastic for face and entire body. It is thick but absorbs nicely. Herbal ingredients are very soothing for acne prone skin. Leaves you with a healthy glow and works great under makeup. I immediately bought another tube when I ran out. Great all around moisturizer for morning and night especially if your skin is over 40 and a bit on the dryer side :) Also it is so much more affordable than others that are no where near as good

I’ll definitely keep buying it
I can’t say enough good things about this Skin Food! I used it during a trip to a cold-weather destination, where my skin usually becomes extremely dry, and it was an absolute lifesaver. When you first apply it, it feels quite thick, but just keep spreading it. It becomes much easier to apply and leaves your skin feeling incredibly nourished and moisturized. It doesn’t absorb instantly, but it also doesn’t leave that sticky, greasy feeling that many rich creams do.

Sinks Into Skin Akin to a Slow Moving Drain Requiring Drano
Well, I bought this product as many folk have testified before me, because of the enthusiastic and gushing commentary from blogs and magazines. Do I like it? I'm not sure. I couldn't care less about the fact the product contains lanolin. I'm a product of the 70's and I distinctly remember my mom using some sort of lanolin product, so I'm not creeped out about that whole sheep by-product thing. That and mom used to keep Vitamin E oil in the fridge next to the Carob, so ... I purchased the 2.5 oz tube and squeezed out what I thought was a small portion for my hands. Oh, the grease! I felt as if I was hit by the Exxon Valdez! The product sat on my hands, and sat, and sat. Oooh. I didn't like this not "instant" absorption. Then, after a glass of wine, decided that I should try, as the packaging recommends in three languages, into my skin. Well, I must admit, it was akin to encouraging a slow moving drain to well, drain. The product did absorb into my skin, albeit reluctantly. I think if I used a smaller amount of product, less than a pea-sized droplet, I would have been happier. That being said, some 60 minutes after application, the product has absorbed into my skin and my hands are very smooth and happy. And shiny. I have shiny happy hands. Erhm. Then again, I'm a fan of REM, so ... I don't know (think) that I would try this product on my face as it wouldn't absorb as easily (quickly) as I would like. After applying a product I like my skin to say, "Oh, thank you for the drink, kind lady", and I'm telling you, and I have dry skin in winter, live in Alaska, if I used this product on my face, I'm-a thinking my face would unfriend me on Facebook. Just sayin'. I would use this product on my hands, elbows, feet, etc--any body part that is really dry that needs a little more TLC. Oh, and my cuticles and nails. This worked wonders on my cuticles and nails. The scent is wonderful! Little citrus-y and very much of Calendula, part of the Marigold family. It's an acquired like, so if you're not familiar with Calendula, you might want to skip. That being said, Calendula is known for it's soothing properties--especially for folk who have tender skin. I did read the reviews of folk who used and said this product inflamed their skin. It didn't inflame mine, but then again, I have Rosacea and didn't use on my face. This product did come with a sample of Wild Rose Pampering Body Lotion. I read a review (and will leave one shortly) regarding this product, and must agree with the reviewer who said the scent wasn't natural--it's nice, but not true rose essence. It's wanna-be faux rose essence. It's not bad, just not pow! If that makes sense. I have a rose refreshing spray from Jurlique that is true rose essence--just the flower, no more. This one has a ... I don't know. As I sniff my skin, it's developed a more beautiful tone and is more robust. Oh, and the lotion? My body drank it in as it it were Peter O'Toole from Lawrence of Arabia. This is exactly what I want in a lotion. As I said, will leave a separate review, veddy, veddy, nice. Overall, very pleased. Would I order again. Not sure.

A Thick Luxurious Cream for Glowing Skin
This is a rich luxurious cream suited to dry sensitive skin. I’m 70 and an Ozzie so dry skin has been a long term problem. This rich cream has taken the place of my Lancôme Nutrix at about a 10th of the price. Not only will you dry skin thank you your bank account will as well. My advice is to apply the cream when your skin is slightly damp and about an hour before you want to apply makeup. This will give your skin must need time to absorb the cream, I then just pay any remaining cream gently off. Your skin will be glowing literally. At night I apply a thicker layer and let it sink in. A fantastic find.

Lovely cream for older skin
I have been amazed with this stuff. Skin on my forearm and lower legs looks a bit tired these days. Had one of these for an advent calendar so thought would give it a try. Goes on quite thick and needs to be properly rubbed in. Next morning there was such a difference to my skin. Feels more firm and softer. Scent is lovely as well. Have bought some more and the night cream as well

The Best!
I use this as a night cream, it smelled beautiful and is so nourishing without feeling greasy. I even started using it under my makeup when doing a full face makeup. Skin stays hydrated and glowy! Heard about it through Bella Hadid on IG so I had to try it. Will purchase again and again!

Good stuff!
Very emollient and excellent for dry skin, I use it on my face on top of serums. Strong green & floral scent but pleasant, dissipates after application, which I don’t mind at all. Good value for money!
