Crayola Write Start Colored Pencils

I have dysgraphia, that is, difficulty with the fine motor coordination used in handwriting (or coloring), and for me, the oversized pencils used by young children are more comfortable for me. It can be hard to find colored pencils that size, so I was glad to find these. The hexagonal shape is a bonus, because it lets them lie flat on the table or desk instead of rolling away. I only wish it came in a set with more colors!

I used these in my classroom for years, now I’m getting them for grandkids and other littles. They last forever and don’t break. They do NOT need sharpening very much. These are great for illustrating stories in their own books as they don’t smear like crayons. I can’t say enough food things about these colored pencils. ❤️

My 3 year old loves these so much. First off, the design is so pretty. Personally, the all-wood look with colored symbols on each pencil is neat. It helps whoever is using them (in my case my toddler) to be able to identify their colors better. They are the perfect size for his little hands so he is able to take control of them easier while coloring. He also uses them to trace his ABCs and so on. Great buy & inexpensive.

I got these for my daughter almost 20 years ago, and she still fondly remembers using them and learning to write with them. I recently got a set for a family friend and the product is just the same as it was then. It's rare to find an item that remains consistent through the years. This is a must have for any preschooler, in my opinion.

I really love the size of these pencils! They are perfect for my 3 yo. I would definitely buy them again. The only drawback is that the color on the outside of the red pencil looks orange. It was hard for her to tell them apart. The actual color of the pencil when drawn is red but those apples shouldn’t look orange. Really great set of pencils otherwise. I wish they had a few more colors.

3yo Grandson was so excited when he got his very own colors! The bigger kids share a large bucket of colored pencils. Seems that our little guy always wants the colors they're about to use so getting him his own seemed like the solution. These are a bit thicker than a regular pencil making them easier for him to hold, color & even sharpen. Now coloring time is much more harmonious!

I bought these for my four year old son to try to encourage him to practice handwriting. He was having trouble holding a pencil properly and also needed to strengthen his hand muscles. These were the perfect solution - they are a larger size pencil so easier to little hands to hold. They are also shorter than your standard pencil, so not too top heavy to control. And the colored pencil material is soft and not like the hard waxy stuff that crayons are often made out of - making it easier once again for my son to write. Of course the attractive colors and cute illustrations on each pencil made it fun for him to choose which pencil to use during our writing sessions. Absolutely recommended.

I really liked these pencils.Great quality, they don't break easy (and I use a blade and sandpaper to sharpen them!) and the hues are simply beautiful! Not overly saturated, and not dull - just perfect. They also run very smoothly on a paper, and last surprisingly long! I held back a star only because the colors were smaller than I expected for the price - just short of 5". Great product, otherwise. And delivered well on time by Amazon, of course!

Good quality pencil.

Got these as my toddlers doesn't like to use crayons and kept asking for pen to draw. 1. The pencils are thick and suitable for toddlers. 2. Colours are quite dark 3. As the pencil is thick it's difficult to sharpen. The point keeps breaking. 4. Quite expensive.
