PILOT"CUSTOM 743 / Black" (nib : Fine)

Great pen arrived with a converter. I am enjoying writing with it.

The Pilot Custom 743 isn’t flashy, and that’s exactly the point. Its classic black, cigar-shaped design is clean, timeless, and purposeful. This pen is about solid build quality, reliability, and everyday performance, highlighted by Pilot’s excellent 14K gold nib. I own several Pilot pens and keep coming back to them because they’re consistently smooth, dependable writers—and the Custom 743 lives up to that reputation. Ink capacity is good with the CON-70 converter, and Pilot ink cartridges are also an option if you prefer them. I tend to favor larger pens for comfort, and this one fits my hand very well. The grip shape and diameter make long writing sessions easy, with no fatigue or hand cramping. Overall, this is a pen I can recommend without hesitation.

I bought the 823 in medium nib because of the hype—plus I really enjoy a nice brown color. It was very enjoyable, but I thought I might like a fine nib better. So I held out until I found this great deal on the 743. It’s everything I thought it would be. The filling mechanism is easier to clean than the vac system of the 823. And the fine nib suits my Jibun Techo better. The seller packages safely and ships quickly considering they’re across the world. I would purchase again!

It’s not what it is advertise like. The pen. writes scratchy. The body feels like it is made of cheap plastic. For the price I paid the pen feels very cheap. The clip is made of cheap material. Definitely not Worth the price

Some ink remains in the converter, it came without the cartridge ink. At this price range I’m wondering how is it possible to send used pen?!

カスタム845漆(F)も所有しており、インク切れ時に継続して筆記できるように予備として購入しました。 845は通販で買っても素晴らしいニブの状態で満足してました。他、742等多数通販で購入した際も同じニブでも太さが若干異なるなどはありましたが、書き味が悪いものは今までなかったです。 ただ、今回購入したこの743(F)は引っかかりまくって書き味が悪く、本来の性能が出ていませんでした。ニブの交換を依頼しようと思いましたが、自分で研ぎ直しました。 書き味が良くなってからは、重量バランス、軸の太さなどは742に比べると手の大きい自分にはぴったりでしたし、845からの持ち替えの違和感はあまり感じない(若干軽め)な程度。書き味は845に比べると、材質が違うので当たり前かもしれませんが少し違います。ただ、筆圧をかけずに書いている場合、ほとんど違いは誤差程度かなと思います。とても良い万年筆です。しかし、ときにはハズレを引くこともあるので急ぎの使用の必要がある方は注意した方がいいです。

いつもはペリカンM800を愛用していたが、気になって743を購入しました。 カスタム74からすると結構重みと長さがあって、もって書くのが気持ちいい。細かい字を書くならキャップは尻刺しせず外して、手帳や小さい字の時はキャップは別にして書くと気持ちよく使いまわしができる。 筆記時はペリカンM800と同じですが、キャップをしてしまっておくときはM800より１０ｍｍくらい長い感じ、 書き具合は、さすがパイロット、日本語特有の止めはね払いがFでもある程度出る。また、FなのにペリカンのEFより細くてすっとした線が書ける。743のボディの大きさでなら、汎用的に使うならMでもよかったかなと思った。このへんはこのみかも。 一つ残念なのはキャップのねじが長めに切られていて、ペリカンだと１回しもせずにキャップ着脱ができるが、カスタム系は１回半くらいまわさないとキャップが取れない これが少々面倒。 トータル的にはバランスがとてもいいペンです。 仕事用にどれか一本、と言うなら、これはお薦めです。

他商品との比較になります。同じＰ社の カクノ（透明）も殆ど同時に買ったのですが、実質使い勝手は値段の差ほど違わないかな。カスタム743がかっこよく見えるだけのような気がします。

握った感じの重さバランスがとっても良い。ペン先も硬さ細さ申し分なし。 ただ、キャップがねじ式なので、操作のスピード観には劣る。

大変書きやすく、書くのが楽しくなります。字が上手くなったような気にさえなります。
