A Taste of Childhood in a Glass
This bottle took me straight back to my childhood. Suze was my auntie’s drink, always on the table, and finding it again felt like opening a little time capsule from France. The flavour is exactly how I remembered it — beautifully bitter with a subtle orange note that makes it incredibly refreshing. It’s one of those unique tastes you don’t forget. Perfect over ice with tonic for a crisp, summery apéritif, or even with a splash of Coke for something a bit different. It’s now officially my go-to summer drink. Nostalgic, elegant, and absolutely delicious. 🇫🇷✨

Thought it was a bit extreme at first, now I love it. 50ml size, 15ml dubonnet, dash of angostura, dash of grapefruit if you have it, top with tonic, little orange spritz and garnish. Also you can just go suze and tonic, it’s lovely.

Makes a great French Negroni

A good aperetif.
A good product, just a pity I can't buy the superior "Aveze" in the UK. An acquired taste which I came to love when living in the Cantal (Auvergne).

Lacks punch
Used to make White Negroni. It's quite nice and bitter, and Gentian makes a change from the Campari bitter orange, but it's not a substitute and lacks the boldness.

Good stuff if you like its particular flavour. Even better in a White Negroni
Gentian is in Campari and some Vermouths too, but it’s the main flavour here which I guess you either like or don’t. Gentian aperitif-liqueur is the dominant, characteristic, Campari-equivalent in a White Negroni and as such works splendidly and is a must for the serious cocktail cabinet. Though an exotic speciality here in UK, Suze brand is only around €9/litre in French supermarkets. More upmarket ones are available, but I’ve been perfectly happy with Suze.

Pleasant interesting drink
A new liqueur to add to the drinks trolley. It’s bitter notes add a nice bit of maturity to lots of cocktails. Also goes nice with some tonic or even a g & t
