I am on the go a lot and also live where there are power outages and wireless connection problems. Just last month we were without electricity for 2 days and although we had a generator and I could work on my desktop, I had no wi-fi. That's when I realized I needed something like the Hyperdrive as I couldn't transfer documents manually or via Dropbox files from my desktop. This device feels really well made. They send you everything you need including a small screwdriver and extra screws so you can add the longer connector. They sent a manual on troubleshooting issues and all in all were just really great with communication and support. Yes, it is more expensive than other similar products. I don't have those products so I can't say if they work as well. But I do believe you get what you pay for and so far the customer support and quality of this product is stellar.

We have to remember that the iPad is NOT a computer, but it’s very close. I’m using the Hyper Drive on the new 2020 iPad with the Magic Keyboard, which gives you a track pad. Adding the Hyper Drive gives you peripherals very similar to having a computer. You can transfer files, through a USB port, you have the HDMI port, a head phone jack, you get quite a bit. It’s a lot better having an all in one as opposed to getting the different, HDMI adaptor, a different USB adapter, etc. Some may think that the price is a little high, but when you add up all of the adapters that you would need individually, IT WOULD COST YOU MORE. I’ve been using it a couple of days and it’s working great. I usually travel for business, currently I’m not doing a lot of traveling, but I can tell that this will be one of the main devices that I would travel around the world with. With this device, take the NIKE approach - ‘JUST DO IT!’

OK. This is a little saddening to write (not boo-boo, but d*mn...this is frustrating). I’ve been trying to find the perfect hub for the new iPad Pro 2020. I was excited to see the fit and how ergonomic it was; and the color shades nice with the space gray iPad. Style is great that is clear. Once I got into performance, this is where the problems ensued. It would go through a power reset once I hooked up hardware via USB as I was using it. I don’t think the power of the USB is meant for something like music production equipment. Additionally, when you hook up a pair of headphones to the jack it would sometimes work or sometimes not. When it did work, there’s a good chance it would just stop working and the whole hub would turn off. Over all it’s a good accessory, but for my flow it was great. That’s why I rated it higher than average. It is good, but not if you plan to stress its performance.

New! Works great! I finally have a 3.5 aux from my iPad 11 and I can play Ravenscroft275 on speakers.

This thing is really great! has a good selection of ports and, as with any other adaptor/dongle used for a one-port device, it's great being able to plug in multiple things while charging the device. I use this specifically to plug in devices for my mobile iPad-based music studio and so far so good. PSA though, and I don't know if it's just because I am using iPadOS beta, but unplug this thing when not using! My battery was at 94% this morning and is now at 13% despite not using the device all day. Not the product's fault, as it makes sense (iPad is reading this thing all day even with nothing plugged in) but just be aware that your battery might drain if you have it plugged in all day

A few months ago, I splurged on my very first Apple product, an iPad Pro. Being a Windows and Android user all my life, it was difficult getting used to my new device. I especially had difficulty transferring photos taken using my Fujifilm X-T10 Mirrorless Camera. I also couldn't use my wired earphones or other wired audio devices with my iPad. The HyperDrive adapter solves both those problems for me. All my audio devices work on the adapters audio port. The adapter can read my camera's SD card seamlessly. The adapter also sports a USB-C adapter so I can charge my iPad while watching binge watching on Netflix or YouTube without interruptions. The device is also very small and appropriately colored to complements the good looks of the iPad. The HyperDrive is perfect. I'm so glad I listened to all the product reviews and spent to have it shipped to me in Cebu City, Philippines. It's definitely worth the investment.

I bought this for use with a new 4th gen iPad Air and really wanted to love it. But the cool low-profile flush-mount design just isn't practical. Maybe OK for a laptop, but not for a tablet. It can't be used if your iPad is in a case or cover; you'll either need to take the cover off or do something clever to it with an Xacto knife. And once it's plugged in, the connection isn't secure; the smallest jostle will dislodge it. The device came with a handy-looking extender grip, attachable by means of some frighteningly tiny screws ( kudos to the manufacturer for including a tiny screw driver and extra screws), which would have solved the problem ... except that it immediately broke. (See photo, far right. The connector tongue came loose and stayed behind in the iPad the first time I tried it.) If I can get a replacement extension piece I may give the thing another chance; it seemed otherwise to be well made and to perform as advertised; but sheesh. My advice? If you are getting this for an iPad, don't bother with the flush-mount model, get the one with the integral extension cable.

I ordered a couple of these Hyper Drives before my wife and I before we got our iPads. My wife has the iPad Pro 11 inch and I got the 12.9 inch. It works great with both of them. They work great, and are a great addition to being able to do certain things with your iPad. I haven’t used it much since I got it but we did stream a movie from it via the HDMI input just to check it out. It worked without any issues. The device did get a little warm but nothing to be concerned with, just wanted to mention it so you’re not alarmed. Order the color based on the iPad color you have so it looks sleek.

At first when connected, it couldn’t work, I tried taking it on and off from my iPad Pro a few times but still couldn’t get it to work. I then tried removing the removable piece from it and connected again and it worked. I then tried reattaching the removable plate back and tried again, it didn’t work again and I tried to push it a bit more and it eventually worked. It was quite a scare for me as I heard good reviews about it and when I tried it for myself, it wasn’t the best experience, I connected the hdmi to test the connection and the hub was pretty hot In terms of temperature and I took it off and stop using it. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed and having paid so much for it. I chose this over the anker one which was evenly priced and in the end, it was not ideal. I’m using a 2021 12.9” iPad Pro with magic keyboard, technically speaking, the hub should fit nicely but i guess it could if you tried hard enough.

Product is genuine and quality wise it's too gud and they provide different types of rubber case for it to fit and they also provide a wired rubber case and it's useful when u are using iPad with a case on it ..and it heats up while using and the only plus point of this product is all the products will work properly and the 3.5mm jack also works fine and the quality of audio won't change even while charging ..and if u compare with other type c hub products available in online this is the best other items won't even work ...in next gen of this item they should try to avoid the heating issues

Great bit of kit that has made my iPad even better! Well worth the price if you’re an avid user of one.

In particolare la vera cosa utile è la porta USB c che non serve solo da ricarica ma trasmette anche dati, e una porta USB a tutti gli effetti. Ad esempio è possibile collegarci l'adattatore jack cuffie della Apple e funziona! Fantastico dongle e direi indispensabile per musicisti che fanno uso dell'ipad pro. Con questo andate sul sicuro.
