After 20 years the remote system on my bedroom ceiling fan gave up. This replacement was simple to install and works perfectly. I can't believe it was so cheap. The factory supplied remote was IR, whilst this one is wireless, which I think is better. Highly recommended.

This item worked perfectly and was straightforward to install. However I had to slightly extend the live feed cable to the fan motor as it was 20mm short of reaching the connector of the motor terminal block (Sycamore 54 Blade fan).

The in-fan module is perfect although a little thicker than the original unit and with slightly shorter wires. The module does make a dink noise, similar to a bulb blowing if power is switched on from the mains switch, and there is no dimming function. Neither is an issue for me, but may bother some people. The remote works perfectly and is simple to use as well as having the timer function.

Due to the low price, I was not expecting too much from this unit: how wrong can you be? Like other reviewers, I found the enclosed wiring diagram useless and the wires did not exit the unit as shown, also the short antenna wire appeared to be missing. On easily flippng the back off, I was able to move the wires to the correct exit positions and also found the missing antenna wire curled up inside. Although the wiring diagram is not good, the wires themselves are labelled and connection was fairly easy once you have established what each wire is for in the fan motor unit. The remote works very well and only lacks the light dimming feature that the original had, (this was never used anyway). Although this was a like for like replacement, I will be purchasing another one to convert a manual fan with pull switches to remote operation. If the service life proves to be good and reliable, I would rate it excellent value for money.

My dad lost the controller to his fan but this saved him from binning the fan completely it is easy to install as long as you are familiar with electronics I would not suggest it to be fitted by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing

Had 2 ceiling fans but the remotes didn't work. Ordered 1 of these to try it out and it worked a treat. Ordered a 2nd (which the dog chewed !) so ordered a 3rd. Both fans now fully operational. Great item.

This is the second one of these that I have bought to replace an older fan controller that doesn't like LED bulbs. Simple to fit though, as others have said, the instructions aren't great.....I did like the instructions of how to re-pair the remote and how to turn off the beep. 5*

Used to replace old control unit in ceiling fan which failed and too old to get manufacturers replacement . Value for money and far cheaper than £100 plus for a new fan of similar quality

I connected the device to the fan. The light is working but on the fan the motor creates an abnormal loud noise and it does not spin. It also caused power trips.

I don't normally do reviews, but I bought this to fix a 5 year old Hampton Bay fan, and it worked perfectly. Installation is easy, similar to wiring a new fan, and the remote works very nicely. I also like the timer feature which the original remote did not have. I cannot get the beep to turn off even after following instructions multiple times, and if the power goes off, the light comes back on when the power returns, which is a minor annoyance only. All in all this is an inexpensive way to fix a broken ceiling Fan controller or Fan remote.

I bought this to replace the wireless receiver and remote on my ceiling fan. To my dissatisfaction, my fan's remote and receiver didn't last more than 2 years. A great disappointment from a fairly expensive fan. So I went looking for a replacement and the local fan store was a little to pricey for me so I went to my trusty Amazon account. I found this setup and with Prime, I had it in 2 days. I squeezed it up into the original location and so far it works like a charm. It had an audio beep signal when you press it which I like. Buttons are easy to read and it has a sleep timer to set it to turn off automatically. GREAT product. I hope it last longer than the OEM setup. But at 15.99, not a deal breaker if I have to replace in a couple of years.
