Not for the faint of heart
Replacing the two broken springs on our 8 year old Lazy Boy recliner was incredibly difficult. If this chair wasn't so comfortable I'd have set it on fire in the front yard after working on this job for a couple hours. The pics I didn't share of my injuries are plentiful, no way could I post a video because it would be full of f bombs. I didn't get pics of the after product either. I was too over it. Make no mistake, as replacements when you don't have absolutely clear access to the entire seat is nothing I'd advise. These springs are nearly identical to what I removed, which is pictured. The steel is the same strength, the curves even line up exactly. I was able to use the hooks on the front and the springs along the back, so I didn't need the included parts and screws. To cut the wrapped wire I only had to start a cut with a hack saw and snap it. It took two people to get the springs in place and get them fastened. Removing the old stuff took about ten minutes, installing the new springs took hours. To pull the springs back enough to get the hooks to the springs I had to brace a foot on the frame and pull back with a ratchet strap rated for 1,000 pounds while my partner used pliers and aviation cable to pull the opposite direction. At one point a spring slipped off a board I'd set into place to keep it from getting stuck in the recliner mechanisms and slammed into the tendons across the back of my hand so hard I thought it was broken. Here it is now three days later and I still can't move it without pain and it looks like an eggplant. Do not underestimate how strong these springs are. I had on thick leather gloves, that's the only reason more blood wasn't shed. Wear safety glasses, gloves, and keep others clear from anything that might fly out. As to the finished product, these are great! The recliner is more comfortable than it's been in years. The clamps for the wrapped wire were relatively easy to use without a special tool. I bent the center tab slightly to get a curve to it before sticking the wires in, then used needle nose pliers to complete the bend. To get the two outside tabs bent, I used the curved part of regular pliers. I found it was better to stick a thin wooden shim between the spring and fabric while putting in the clamps. The edges could easily cut or snag it. There's more than enough of the wrapped wire for my project since I simply replaced the two pieces it had, but I might cut one more and add it for a little extra support in a chair that is heavily used and likely abused. If this product is what you need and you're ready to do the work then I'd recommend this brand. It's great quality and has what you need to get it done. I'm not sure I'd blindly do this again. I think I'd make sure I had more access than I did with this one, but if so I will buy this brand again.

High quality kit
This kit is top notch! Price was great and it worked out perfectly. The springs are a better quality than the original springs. As is the hardware.

Works great.
Fixed the hole in my sofa! It was easy to install, it was pretty tollerant on placement of the anchors, there were some extra parts too which came in handy. My big rear sits in the same spot every evening. I felt like i was sitting on the floor because i was so much lower than everyone else. Im sitting high and mighty now, my back doesnt hurt anymore either.

Solid replacement spring weird number of clips and no screws
Short version: spring is pretty solid, but you need your own screws and to buy extra wire clips if you are working on anything bigger than a chair. It was a solid replacement spring and does the job. It is slightly thicker gauge than the stock spring I was replacing. The install was not super easy, but easy enough, that's the nature of the job not really a factor of the item. I am satisfied with the end result. What I didn't like: 1) The clips require screws, but screws are no included that is just weak 2) It's a two pack of springs, but comes with 8 mounting clips I guess if you break 4 of them? 3) it came with maybe just enough springing wire to do two full passes on the two-seater part of my sofa, but it only comes with 10 clips and tells you to clip the wire at each spring. I basically did every third spring and only one pass and I was out of clips, the numbers just don't make sense. Other than that it's a solid product for what it is and it feels sturdy upon completion.

Measure your springs and have patience!
I’ll be honest: I am new to DIY-ing so this was more difficult to me than to others. I have absolutely barely any experience in upholstery but I bought this vintage floral wingback chair from a grandma and when the springs broke I couldn’t let it go. This kit is great because it comes with everything you need. These do not come with screws if you want to secure the clips with screws. I had to return and exchange several of these kits to get the right measurement for my chair but it was easy to return and well worth it. Unfortunately I was not able to tear my entire wingback chair apart to replace these two springs that broke so I made due by remove the old clips with these upholstery tools that look like a crowbar. It was IMPOSSIBLE for me to screw the clips secure or staple them in place due to not exposing the top part of the cushion (which the instructions suggest you do and everyone practically online). I use a crap ton of super glue and prayer to keep the spring clips attached to the wood to secure the springs. The actual connecting part of the springs was straightforward and the instructions included can be helpful. This kit comes with a generous amount of 16 gauge wire that is supposed to be cut into sections then secure with wire clips you attach to the springs by using pliers to wrap the wire and with the spring. In my pictures my wires look like a hot mess but it was because it was A LOT of wire and due to my clip situation I decided to go insane with the wire just in case the glue wouldn’t hold. The wires are suuuper sturdy and really help with the weight displacement. Any extra wire I wrapped around is secured by bending the wire to make an L shape and by using zip ties. Now the springs are dangerous. I cut open my hand and my shin trying to make it happen but if you are a DIYer you’ll be fine. One of the hacks I used to prevent the other end of the spring from attacking me is adding a thick work glove on the exposed end. This has saved my arms from evil springs coming loose. I would definitely recommend this kit. The springs are sturdy and now when I sit in my accent chair, my bottom doesn’t sink. In fact, they’re so strong that they hold me up completely level and I’m 200. Do your research, protect the ends of the chair springs and utilize gorilla glue if your desperate like me.

did the trick

This was a great kit for my sofa repair project. Good quality and strong - the springs, attachments, stay wire, and clips. I highly recommend House2Home. I replaced broken springs and wires, and reinforced the old wire. I only wish the kit came with more clips, as I had to buy more from House2Home (the new wire needed to be clipped everywhere, not just to the new springs.) Reccommend anyway.
