Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Veteran ARTFX Statue

Capt. John "Soap" MacTavish comes to life in this 1:6 scale model. It has very nice details and is made from PVC so it has a little bit of a different feel to it than my other figures. The multiple arms and accessories are really cool. The arms fit onto the figure very tightly. The pistols (Colt 1911) are made onto a set of arms and so are the ice picks, but the rifle (scoped m14) is seperate from the hands, but fits into them well. It's nice having this seperate becuase it has a sling on it you can put it on the figure's back while other arms are attached. The model appears to have been sprayed with a fine mist of white paint after everything else was molded and painted. This achieves a very nice effect of fresh powder (snow) and looks really cool on the ice shards sticking up on the side as they are somewhat see-through and have a greenish color it looks very much like snow covered ice. Also I didn't expect a model this size it is very large and comes well packaged in a cool Modern Warfare 2 box.

This is a 1/6 scale model of Soap MacTavish from Modern Warfare 2. It comes with three sets of arms, one with ice picks, one with pistols in each hand, and one to hold the MK14 EBR that is also included. The detail and likeness of this model is outstanding. It is very well sculpted and detailed. The option to use any combinations of the three sets of arms give you some ability to customize your status. The included MK14 is the only thing that I thought could be improved, while the statue has great detail the MK14 is sort of generic and blocky. The included base is from the snow base level and is hollow with a bottom that allows you to keep the extra sets of arms and rifle if you aren't using them. It might not be for everyone but for any fan or Modern Warfare, or of modern military figures it is well worth the price

This figure is awesome! Quite detailed and large and definitely worth the money. Mine came in original 2009 packaging which was really cool! Take caution that it does take quite a bit of force to attach/remove his arms, and comes with dual pistols and a rifle for other options. Awesome gift for any cod fan

he beautiful. i’m not really interested in switching out the limbs though so i wouldn’t be reliable for how easy that is. if you just want to look at his regular base set you’ll be stokedddd

I first heard about this statue not long after the game came out. It didn't get much buzz on the various news sites and it wasn't up for order on many of the sites I frequent that usually carry this kind of product. After waiting a bit and finally spotting it for a reduced price, I jumped on the chance to finally grab one. The quality of the piece is the usual quality one can expect from Kotobukia, they are experts when it comes to this medium with decades of experience in the Japanese figure industry, and this is no exception. Even with small details like the pitons and rope, the PVC is still crisp and holds the shape and texture. The paint application is also well done and the snow effect is realistic without looking cheap. My only minor complaint is the packaging. It comes in a subdued black cube with the logos for the game and developer on it, with no pictures or description of what it is. Many collectors of statues keep the box for storing it in case of moving or just swapping out pieces on display. So the boxes for these figures are almost always covered with a large picture of the statue for easy identification. My other issue with the packaging is the lack of instructions or parts list. If you don't see the photos of the statue on the site, you have no idea of the other parts included. If you do know those parts are there, you might wonder where they are, since there is nothing telling you that the parts are stowed in the base. My box arrived with the seal broken, so I initially thought that the parts were missing, until I looked up a review that pointed this out. This could be alleviated with a tiny slip of paper or a sticker on the box pointing this fact out. I bet the box I got that was open was likely a return that someone thought was missing parts. So other than the nitpicky package issues, the statue is a great piece and reflects one of the best parts of the game.

I love Kotobukiya ArtFX statues, I think they strike the perfect balance between price and quality, they are very high quality, detailed good sized (not tiny) statues, and this one is no exception. Excellent statue, super detailed, of the highest quality. I am a huge collector of gaming statues/collectibles and this Kotobukiya ArtFX statue is amazing and one of the nicer in my collection. Comes packaged extremely well and looks beautiful. Would definitely recommend this to any fan of the Call of Duty game series or gaming collectibles in general.
