A very good choice
Extremely comfortable, a pleasant combination of softness and support, provided one removes some % of the shredded foam inside as recommended by the instructions. NY Times seems right in choosing this as best bargain-priced pillow.

Favorite Pillow
I've had this pillow for a few months now, and I think it's great. I was a bit skeptical about this pillow, since most other memory foam pillows are just large flops for me. But this one really grew on me, and I can't sleep on traditional pillows anymore. When I first got the pillow, I was amazed at how it expanded from a rolled form, to a normal large pillow. The smell is relatively strong when you receive the product, which is why I let it air out for about 5 days. I would turn the pillow once a day to let the sides evenly air out. The smell even after 5 days was pretty noticeable, but keep in mind, I never threw it into a dryer or anything. The smell definitely goes away with time, so don't mind it too much. When I did start sleeping on this pillow, it did feel pretty resistant. If I had to compare it to some form of cushion, it is extremely similar to seats in a car. Which is why I had my initial regrets on this product. But don't let that scare you, since you do have to break in this pillow for about 1-3 weeks time. The cushion of this pillow after the breaking in period is just AMAZING. I'll try to explain how the cushioning of this pillow feels in comparison to normal pillows you get at general stores. When you get a normal pillow, it starts off as extremely fluffy for 1-2 weeks. But after that period of extremely fluffiness, you get a period of a "JUST RIGHT" sort of cushion and resistance. Then after that "JUST RIGHT" feeling that lasts for about 3-4 weeks, it is just flat from there on out. With this memory foam pillow, it is now always at a "JUST RIGHT" feeling for me. And it has been that way for months now, never feeling like it's going flat. So after you get past the initial smell and uncomfortable resistance, the pillow should feel pretty great. I'm a side sleeper, however I could easily relax on this pillow when on my back. I've actually found myself getting pretty sleepy with this pillow, just by resting on it to surf on my phone. I haven't experienced any problems of feeling too hot or cold when on this pillow, if anyone was wondering. I feel like it is easy to mold the pillow to how you want, if it somehow gets displaced. What I usually do from time to time is grab the pillow from both ends (left/right), and begin push + pulling. This usually gets the foam centered in the middle, and it naturally molds to where I rest my head. The cover that holds all the foam is actually extremely comfortable. It is very easy for me to use this pillow with or without an additional cover, and I might actually prefer it without an additional pillow cover. But I believe it is preference, I think the pillow would get dirty if you choose to sleep without an additional cover. I think if you're curious about getting a memory foam pillow, definitely try this one. I don't think it should go flat on you in any time. If you're wondering what size you should get, I would recommend going for the Queen size, since that is the one I'm speaking on behalf of. I've actually bought this pillow for 2 relatives, since I thought this pillow was pretty game changing to sleeping. But I did warn them that they did have to break the pillow in! TL;DR - Smell may be strong for others, but does go away with time - Initially has a relatively uncomfortable resistance at the start, takes 1-3 weeks to break in + Has a very pleasant cushioning after breaking in + Does not feel like it goes flat, even after a few months + Feels neutral in terms of temperature, doesn't make you feel hot or cold + Easy to mold + Cover is comfortable + Go for the Queen size

Second Best.
So you're obsessing about a new shredded memory foam pillow and your afraid you're going to choose the wrong one. I've got you covered. There are three on Amazon that have the most positive reviews and are really the only ones that need to be considered. Really there are two, but more on that in a minute. I have purchased and tested all three. The Contenders: 1. The Coop Home Goods, $59.99 2. The Xtreme Comfort, $54.99 3 The Snuggle-Pedic, $69.99 So why are there only two to consider? Because the Xtreme Comfort and the Snuggle-Pedic are the exact same pllow sold by two different distributors. They simple print their names on the tags after the fact. The Xtreme Comfort is $15 cheaper so if you go with one of those, choose the Xtreme Comfort. (I have posted photos to show how exact they are.) The Coop and the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic have the same mount of fill, more or less. With this type of pillow loft depends on the distribution of the memory foam, so it can be adjusted to ones liking. With the Coop one can access the fill and can add or remove foam. With the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic it is sealed. I believe one can send it to the manufacturer to have it adjusted. That seems like a lot of work for a pillow. All pillows are filled CertiPUR-US Certified foam. The main difference that I see it the Coop uses a finer shred whereas the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic use a chunkier shred. Both smell bad when you first open them, the Coop worst, but the odor dissipated over a few days. All pillows are also 100% machine washable/dry-able. So what does all this mean? The Coop's finer shred gave it more buoyancy. The Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic felt firmer. Some may like that, but I had more trouble getting comfortable. I preferred the Coop because it was both soft and firm at the same time and it had a removable dust cover. Coop Home Goods also has a video to help you adjust it to your liking. So for me the Coop Home Good pillow is the best of the bunch.

Adjustable to suit your comfort
I love these pillows. I took about 4 scoops of stuffing out to get them to where I was comfortable. I save the stuffing to refill later if I need to or for a project that needs stuffing.

Picky Pillow Person finds her Perfect Pillow!
I have owned this pillow for nearly 4 years now and can't say enough good things about it. I have always been very picky with pillows and purchased lots of different styles/kinds over the years - never quite finding one that worked for me...until now. Other pillows were either too soft, too firm, would breakdown quickly, or lump. Some of them made my neck ache, while others I just could never find a comfortable position. All that ended with this pillow which has stayed just as comfortable as when I purchased it and keeps me comfortable and cool all night. It has been a god send and for me, well worth the money.

A comparison of the most reviewed pillow on Amazon & the "best" pillow according to the internet
Coop Home Goods (The most reviewed pillow on Amazon): - Made up of a mix of pieces of memory foam and an extremely soft almost fibrous material reminiscent of those fake cobwebs you buy for Halloween. Kinda like cotton picked right from the plant but way way softer, I have no idea what it is. - The memory foam have been cut into small pieces as opposed to shredded like in the xtreme comforts pillow, the size of the pieces are also more consistent than the xtreme comforts pillow, where there's a wider range in the size of the chunks. - Less firm than xtreme comforts, provides more "give" Xtreme comforts (declared the best pillow by USA today, Wirecutter, reviewed.com, bgr.com) - Made up completely of shredded and cut memory foam. - Much more dense than the Coop Home Goods pillow. Offers more firm support. - Both pillow cases are a blend of 40% bamboo and 60% polyester. Both cases are equally as soft and lovely. I have yet to wash them so I can't speak in regards to how well they hold up in the washer/dryer. - Feels more lumpy than the Coop homes pillow CONCLUSION: I have been sleeping with both for about a week, but I have to admit that I knew the coop homes pillow was a winner in my book the second I touched the filling. I've never seen something similar done in a pillow. Additionally, although the lumpiness of the xtreme comforts pillow isn't atrocious initially, it becomes much more apparent when you compare it to the coop homes pillow. The xtreme comforts pillow tended to be uncomfortably hard in places where it had been compressed for long periods of time, which wasn't a problem with the coop home goods pillow. Overall both good pillows, but I definitely preferred the coop home goods pillow.

So many memory foam pillows to choose from, why not try this one?
Update after 3 mos use: (rating dropped to 1 star) Okay, I admit. I really tried hard to want to love these pillows. The smell just never really went away--it doesn't matter how much you air them out. Also, you need to fluff these pillows every night or they harden (all the foam forms to into a hard lump) and it gets very stiff, heavy, and uncomfortable. This pillow is very heavy so when you fluff it, it's not very easy to do. You're literally grabbing and pinching, separating all the foam parts that have meshed together. Lastly, my neck and shoulders started getting stiff and painful. Every morning I woke up, I felt like like all my neck and should muscles had tensed overnight. The pain was starting to get worse so I got rid of the pillow and after going back to my normal pillows, I'm having a good night's rest again and waking up feeling pain free. I like firm pillows but these were hard after a while of sleeping on them and was not as comfortable as I thought they would be. If it hadn't been over 30 days since I bought these pillows, I would send them back for a full refund! Buy at your own discretion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have bought three of these pillows within the last month. Makes for an ideal gift if you can't figure out what to buy someone because everyone needs a comfortable pillow! This pillow arrives tightly rolled up and wrapped up in saran wrap material. Takes a few minutes to "inflate" and then you can fluff it up. Be warned, the pillows have a strong chemical smell from the foam. I strongly suggest airing the pillows out for at least a night before using, especially if you are sensitive to smells. You can also throw it in the dryer on the 'air dry' cycle. I am a side sleeper and like firm(er) pillows. Don't get me wrong, I also like soft pillows since no one wants to sleep on a rock hard, stiff pillow. This pillow provides me with the perfect support so I don't feel like I'm suffocating while sleeping. The pillow does not go flat while sleeping. With the bamboo cover, I still use a cotton pillow-case. I have no issues with sweating so the breathability of the pillow doesn't bother me but it's a nice added feature. If you prefer thin, flat pillows, then this pillow is not for you. I wake up with no shoulder or neck pain and am enjoying my new pillow. The only thing I did not enjoy (aside from the initial fresh out of the wrapper smell) was the price fluctuation. I initially paid $10 more for my first purchase.

Quality was fine but didn't live up to the hype
Not the magic sleep it was hyped up as. I found it lumpy and uncomfortable. Removing stuffing means the remaining is loose in the case making it even lumpier instead of just thinner.

Worth every penny
I was hesitant to buy this pillow because of the price but decided It was worth the risk if it actually helped my with my neck pain...and it’s been AMAZING!! I have several herniated discs in my neck and I’d practically given up on ever waking up pain free or having a migraine free day..after reducing the foam content this pillow has been unbelievable. I still get some pain if I’m lying on my back but when side sleeping it’s all good! I am so thankful for this pillow. It has literally changed my quality of life. Worth every penny.

Poor value
Wouldn’t be a good pillow if it cost $50 bucks, much less $200.

Loses its shape
It is hard to get a comfortable shape and the pillow is too hard for my taste.
