Ocean's 11 (1960) (BD) New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. Roulette wheels spin, cards snap, slots chime, champagne fizzes, shows go on…and the lights go out. It’s the perfect time to steal a kiss or a $25 chip. But for Danny Ocean (Frank Sinatra) and 10 partners in crime, it’s the ideal moment to steal millions. Sinatra and off-screen pals Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop and more play army buddies who scheme to knock out power to the Vegas strip, electronically rig five big casino vaults and raid them all at the same instant. Packed with location-lensed glamour, sweaty suspense, swinging comedy and a stunning twist ending now in gorgeous hi-def, Ocean's 11 is your entertainment best bet. Review: This is a great movie Classic. - This is a great movie Classic. It shows Las Vegas in 1960. All of the stars were amazing in this film. Review: Ocean's Eleven on Blu-ray - The original Ocean's Eleven has been sneered at in recent years, mainly by people who like the remake. In fact the original is an interesting and entertaining movie that is still well worth watching, particulaly by fans of the main stars. The central story is about a group of ex 82nd Airborne servicemen attempting to rob five big Las Vegas casinos and how their ingenious plan goes astray. The narrative is augmented by historically fascinating shots of Las Vegas as it was circa 1960. Especially interesting for fans of a bygone era in show business are the bill boards announcing which stars are appearing at which casino. That delightful and mostly forgotten Canadian singer Gisele Mackenzie is prominently proclaimed. The Blu-ray presentation of the movie is superb and cannot be praised too highly. Watching this BRD via a projector on a ten foot wide screen was as good as seeing the movie in a cinema. I recommend this Blu-ray disc to anyone who enjoys the movie, particularly if they have a projector.

OCEAN'S 11 {50TH ANNIVERSARY} {BLU-RAY}
What a great Classic film this is. Nice to see the "Rat Pack" again. I liked this movie when it came out & I still like it today. I like it better than the newer version too. The Blu-Ray quality is pretty nice on this film. As old as the film is I didn't expect the quality to be this good. I can't comment on the audio as I do not have surround sound, just my tuner & external speakers which sound nice to me. I wish they would have saved the old Casinos & put them in another part of town to recreate "Old Vegas". I'm sure tourists & younger people would get a kick out of how things were back in the day. I also like the fact that the aspect ratio is 2:40:1, which means the sides of the movie aren't cut off, like many other films are. I rather like seeing the whole movie as the director meant it to be seen. Overall I am very happy with the quality & would recommend this to any one wanting to get this movie.

Fine Quality Release of a Wonderful Film
For those who know the film, this is an excellent Blu-ray version. For those who own the DVD, this is probably a worthwhile upgrade. The picture is first rate, certainly much better than the DVD. The sound track is the original mono sound track, but crystal clear. There are some additional extras on this disc as well as those included on the DVD version. For those who don't know the film, this is a wonderful story made at a time when films were entertaining.

The Kings of Cool
There is nothing quite like the original I always say! And this flic fits the bill perfectly. Here they are all together. Known amongst themselves as "the Summit" or "the Clan," not The Rat Pack. Frank, Dean, Sammy, Peter and Joey along with honorary member Shirley MacLaine all at their best together in this just plain fun movie about getting back a the high handed casino business. With a great supporting cast to help, you just can't go wrong on a Saturday night by throwing this into your Blu-Ray player and stepping back in time. The film looks and sounds great on Blu-Ray too! Enjoy!

Good film.
Decent resolution/image for such an old film. Makes a moralistic ending seem more appropriate than the Clooney/Pitt modern versions.

The Only 11 that matters
Set in the Glory years of Vega$, Sinatra, Martin, Sammy & the 8 makes you wish time travel was possible. Vegas lost this cool years ago

Good video
The rat pack original is better than any remake or sequel.

this is the better oceans 11
this is a good old film. i found it nice and entertaining. the picture quality is very good and so is the sound. there's a few extras on the disk but they are not very long. I found the best one was about the people who worked in vegas in the sixties. although this is a u.s import it playes fine in the u.k.

It's okay
I've watched other movies starring the "Rat Pack" and liked those much better. I found Ocean's 11 to be a little hard to follow. It was very good quality though.

Great movie for those who love Frank and the gang
Great movie for those who love Frank and the gang. I can watch it over and over again. I am an avid Frank fan. Love the original movie better than the remake with George Clooney.
