DELICIOUS
I used to buy this bacon brand at Walmart for a long time, then they changed the bacon to REALLY thick. I absolutely HATED it. Then one day I saw this at another store and tried it and it was perfect. Then I discovered it's cheaper on Amazon. If you like delicious bacon that's thin sliced. This is the bacon you need. Just make sure to watch it. It takes around 15 to 20 seconds to cook.

in no way is this considered thick bacon, but it is good.
This is thin slices like at Denny's or IHOP, paper thin. I did experiment with this vs raw bacon. I averaged 4.9 oz of cooked bacon out of 16.5 oz raw. meaning the listed 10.5 oz of this brand isn't the same as advertised 4 packages (lbs). That being said, the piece count is greater with this Hormel pre cooked package, with my testing averaging 14 slices per lb of raw bacon. All of that to say, if you want something convenient and easy, I'll keep buying this. To me, it's worth the slightly higher cost. I cook 30 seconds in the microwave on a piece of parchment.

BACON! versatile, pre cooked, shelf stable (until opened), good price in bulk quantity
My husband and I buy the smaller packs of this stuff at the store. We keep plenty of raw bacon in the freezer but it sure is nice to have some shelf stable stuff on hand for quick meals, or adding extra flavor to something. Everything goes with bacon! The entire pack looks good. Evenly "cooked". Use it cold as is, or pop into toaster oven and "toast" for a few minutes. Probably cooks up in microwave too. Doesnt take long for it to crisp up all over. Then we normally add it to sandwiches. Dont usually use it as a side dish but certainly may do so. For that I bust out a package of raw bacon, but this works too. Mostly we like it for adding to sandwiches, burgers, salads, crinkling up over deviled eggs, stuff like that.. perfect. I dont rate on price. We can all see price, and all have different budgets, needs, preferences, prices fluctuate, there are sales, etc.. But I do comment :) I got this big pack on Prime day, so saved a few bucks. Even at full price, it is still reasonably priced. I had seen that the price in store went up by a couple of bucks (or more) for 9-10 slice boxes. This "about 72 slices" packet (not a box) is about 7 or so of those boxes, which run $5-8, so $35-56 if you price it that way. I think some membership stores carry this for a bit less, but it is an in-store item (travel, + need a membership). Buy it while you can, makes good addition to long term storage. Refrigerate after opening

Always delicious
I don’t normally crave bacon, but when I do, I want it all the time. So this works for my little bacon bouts, which is like once or twice a year. It does have a lot of chemicals, which is what keeps it as a non-perishable Abyl until you’re about to eat it. So that’s the trade-off but I enjoy it. I don’t eat it often maybe once or twice a year.

The Bacon is Great when handled properly
My problem is with the delivery not the product… the product is great if taken care of properly… I understand you don’t have to refrigerate until opening but on delivery it should be chilled not just in a regular delivery bag

yum!
just what i expected! i love these for how easy they are to use! they are much thinner than a regular piece of bacon & not quite as much flavor as freshly cooked bacon, but when its in things, you dont notice. i love the big sized packs. they are so quick to cook. when the kids want a couple slices for a sandwich etc they can do it themselves.

You Get a Lot of Bacon.
I have been trying multiple brand of fully cooked bacon. The Black Label thick is my favorite but this is close. This is NOT the thick cut but it is still thicker than the other brands I have tried. I just do 25 seconds in the microwave and let it set for a minute before eating to allow it to crisp up. This is a bargain if you like bacon and eat it a lot. It would take about four or five boxes of the other brands to give you this much bacon, bso do the math to see the savings. Once opened, I kept this in my freezer and just pulled out what I needed. The reclosable bag makes it handy. I will definitely be buying this again. Also I purchased this the middle of June and experation date isn't until November.
