I'm using these on a hand built folding painting easel. I've had them for years and they work great. I've opened and closed them hundreds of times with no degradation in holding capacity. I'll buy these again.

I bought this for a portable easel I made. It works just as I had hoped.

Works as advertised. Doesn't come with any instructions. I used this to hold the small wood leg open on a wood cookbook stand I built. Had to set the tension high or the leg would just fold out and the stand would fall flat. I'd give it 5 stars if it came in a brown color (to make it blend in when used on wood projects).

If you use a Kodak ADAS 290, (Electrophoresis Documentation Analysis System), and a user has opened the lid somewhat carelessly and broke one or both of the two hinges, then this is the exact replacement per specifications. Easy to replace with a simple Phillips head screw driver.

I couldn't find these anywhere. My Four Winns boat used them for the cabin door and the older ones finally broke. They are plastic so I wouldn't recommend replacing any other type of hinge with them but these matched the manufacturer's on my boat perfectly.

The item doesn't hold the 'least little bit of weigh'. I tried to use it to keep the lid on my artist painting box ( a large wooden cigar box) from flopping over, but it kept slipping open. Item is of made of hard plastic, thus my fear of applying much torque to the screw. Even with added pressure it still kept opening. Ended up using an adjustable arm to hold my artist box in place.

Exactly what I needed for the pull down iPad holder I made for my kitchen. Worked like a charm. Use the iPad for recipes and I’m an avid baker. Have had no issues with them loosening. Would use again.
