My favorite 360 exclusive
If Microsoft had advertised this game more, among a few others, they probably would've sold a lot more 360s. I have both PS3 and 360 so I get to play the exclusives from both systems. A lot of my friends play games less than I do so they only bought one system. Mainly, the PS3. It's all debatable about which game franchises are better, but when Microsoft dominantly boasted about Halo and Gears of War, many PS3 owners said 'who cares, we have Resistance and Killzone'. For me, it's the 360's ARPG exclusives that make it a great system to own. The Witcher 2 stands as one of the best in that category, if not the best. Any other games that I can somewhat compare it to are multiplats and therefore don't put a point in either company's campaign. It doesn't hold your hand getting started, but there is an in-depth tutorial level that you can choose to play or by-pass, and the first Act is a bit too much on the cinematic side, but once you get going, it's an absolute blast. The graphics are great, the action is fast and fun, and the story is interesting. This Silver Edition gives you the whole package and it's going for a bargain price, so anybody slightly curious about it should buy it and pat themselves on the back for buying a 360. I really hope that the Witcher 3 lives up to its potential.

this sequal has shown that it's a quality game with great gameplay and pretty awesome graphics
I've never played the first Witcher game - however, this sequal has shown that it's a quality game with great gameplay and pretty awesome graphics. I would agree with other reviews that the gameplay controls are a lot like the Batman Arkham series or God of War (both great games also if you're looking for other options as well) THis game tends to suck me in. It's like exploring an entire new world since it's the type of game where you can choose your storyline. I also really enjoy going back in the game and choosing opposite story lines than I did previously to get a whole new feel for the game. It's a lot of fun, I may even purchase the first in the sequel to get the full experience.

... something about this game that makes me want to like it but I can't
There's something about this game that makes me want to like it but I can't. There are way too many cinematic cut-scenes - even on some of the simplest missions in highly generic dungeons/caves. I would have probably been better off watching a movie. The menu is absolute crap, the map is the epitome of low-effort and I really could care less about the characters. The crafting system I do like but the combat isn't responsive enough for me to go beyond a basic understanding just to make it through the game. Quests aren't anything special either. If you do get it, be prepared for a multitude of invisible walls. Numerous side quests give depth to an utterly small world and might distract you from realizing that there's not too many places you can go in this game.. Get this on sale like the ones they have on Steam and you'll have the opportunity to buy it for what it's worth.

Amazing game. The story is great
Amazing game. The story is great, and you can choose two separate paths to see different out comes. Thus said, I played the game twice, because I wanted to see the other path. It was a completely different story plot. My only gripe is there's no NGP (New Game Plus). I wanted the NGP, because it will help me make things easier to see the story line, and also to enjoy the weapons and armor I had to work for to get. But not a huge issue though. This game is not too difficult anyway. The graphics is awesome even for a "previous generation" system. The voice acting is great.

One of the Top 10 Games on the Xbox 360. Period.
It was absolutely intriguing. This was a game I was very happy to play through. This setting was superb, and the gameplay was agreeable. However, I will speak on something I was not fond of. There is a character, Triss, that loves the character you play as, Geralt. I even read Triss's character page and it read, "She loves Geralt and wants more than anything for him to choose her" or something. So I got to know Triss, and I liked her. The voice actress portraying her was a good choice, she has a very sweet voice, and her character design is different than most women, as she has a unique hairstyle. Also, they give her good dialogue and she feels like a real person, as is the case with many characters in this game. So, anyway, there are whores in the game that you can have sex with, but I never had sex with any of them or did anything with any women in the game. I was hoping that there would be a dialogue option to tell Triss, "I choose you," but, there wasn't. Nothing happens. At all. So for me I felt like there was no payoff for being faithful to Triss... Anyway, a lot of the quests in this game are pretty interesting. I really have no complaints when it comes to the setting and story and what not. Except that I would have liked more options at some parts to choose what happens. So storywise and setting was pretty solid. Combat was pretty lame in some parts of the game. After you get the hang of it, it is decent, but nothing special. It just doesn't feel satisfying enough, and it sucks when you leave a village and immediately a giant scorpion will just kill you in a few hits. And enemies always try to outnumber you and then you have to try and roll around and separate them a bit so you even have a chance to get some offense in. So the combat is acceptable, but by no means is it good. The map was not the most cooperative, and sometimes I was not sure where to go or how to get to the next section. Also there were several quests that I did not know how to finish and ended up skipping them unfortunately. A downside is how the game is fairly linear and has a beginning, a middle, and then an end, and that is it. There are no other game modes than Story, and after completing the story I haven't touched this game since. Well, I tried to play through it again, but after 10 minutes I stopped. Most games I do not like replaying the Story. After hearing the same dialogue a second time, it loses the appeal. And in a game where you level up, going back to level 1 and getting killed easily is just not fun and leveling up again is not at all fun. So I give this game a 4/5 for the reasons above. But this is a review of the game itself, if I was comparing it to other RPGs, this is better. It's not really something you can compare to games like Skyrim, as that scratches a different itch, but for me, as RPGs go, this is certainly one of the best on the Xbox 360.

Was not fun.

Makes you REALLY appreciate the Witcher 3.
A great product just pales next to the graphics, interface, and quality of the Witcher III. I can't believe that Xbox 360 graphics were SO far behind those of the Xbox One. A remastered version would make CD PROJECT RED millions on Xbox and PS4
