BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition - Xbox 360

I dont usually write reviews.. butI have been wanting to buy the bioshock games for quite a while. Naturally, once I learned of this deal it was a no brainer. A normal Xbox game is $60, so getting one of them for &30 should be an awesome deal. But BOTH of them?! And both awesome games?? Aside from this being a deal that anyone would be foolish to pass on, these games themselves are awesome. They are so unique and they really just draw you in and absorb you. As soon as you take that submarine down into the underworld dystopian world of rapture you will be surrounded by the 40's Art Deco style and music. There is such great attention to detail here-- and the voice acting is phenomenal... Way higher quality than one would expect out of a video game. This review is a little bit premature as I have not even finished the first game as of yet, but the story is awesome and very well developed. There are plenty of twists and things to keep you in. I found myself playing this game for hours at a time. The scary factor of this game is also awesome (try playing in a pitch black room late at night with the sound up!!) Gameplay is fun but very unique and it takes a while to get the hang of. The plasmids are a very cool innovation and the combat is easy to get the hang of if you've played shooters. Things like weapon and plasmid upgrades, buildables, tonics, etc. keep the game fresh and interesting. I personally enjoy digging through every nook and cranny of rapture to make sure I don't miss out on any items! All of this can be wrapped up into saying that these are great games that really revolutionized video games back in 2007 as opposed to simply being evolutionary. There is so much detail put into this game and it will suck you right in to the incredible world of rapture. Go out there and buy this on amazon ASAP!!

I must admit that I do love the BioShock games, and getting both the Original and 2 in a double pack with DLC is just a bonus. I love the game franchise, story telling is unique and wonderful, The world of Rapture is rich and fully realized, in 2 you explore some of the other areas in Rapture. Lovely and holds all the WOW of the first game. It is difficult to discuss the game without spoilers, so I will say to fans of the genre, or of 2K, this is a great romp through an imaginative underwater city and a terrific for collectors. First time players will enjoy the having the extra content to unlock on their first play through and exploring the grand and strange world of Rapture.

As a casual gamer I look for games that capture my interest by story and game play of course and proudly to say Bioshock delivers! If anyone has played the first already knows its intriguing and genuine art style and for a 2007 game its fantastic. As well as its sequel. I played the first and fell for the awesome display of combat by using magic or (plasmids) as described in the game, and classic weaponry from the 50's, these do NOT disappoint. The story is great adding mystery and a dark tone, because of tragedy of a city in ruins, under water! Overall this is a lot of bang for your buck! Because all the dlc notably for Bioshock 2 is in the package and exclusive PS3 dlc now transfers for Bioshock 1 on the XBOX 360. Its really something worth investing to have a swell time, and if I'd compare these games to others I'd say they are similar to the combat in Fallout 3/NV and as morally intriguing story like any game featuring a protagonist guarding a child, because at times it feels great to be a BIG DADDY. And just witnessing these behemoths is pretty cool. In conclusion I personally rate it 5 stars and the same for Bioshock Infinte, they're all pretty great.

Played through both games one time. Was extremely curious about the BioShock universe. I think it partly disappointed me because I am playing this in 2013 rather than when it came out in 2008. Back then, it introduced a lot of new concepts and ideas to a first person shooter. Now, with so many games imitating this kind of genre, BioShock 1 and 2 just feels a little outdated. It is still fun because of the nostalgic aspect, but most of the time I felt kind of bored with the shooting mechanics because well...it is simply an old game. Not the game's fault though, I can see how it was so critically acclaimed back in its time.

This game is amazing because there's no other game like this the game is set in a dark alternative past set in a underwater city known as RAPTURE were rich and famous live out there final day's and in the game everything is trying to kill you it's very tense and with the addition of the dlc content for both games it's like the cherry on top of the cake everyone should play this game.
