Right tool for the job.
I've been trying to get two rusted bolts out since Christmas! These things work, not the first time, for me, but I didn't give up. Chewed up the bolt head, went to a smaller size- bada bing! Very, very happy. Get some!

It is great! Buy it!
Short story: I’ve never written a review. The product is great! Even if you’re not sure you need it, buy it. Long story: I took my car in to where I bought my tires for a warranty replacement on a damaged tire. I’m thinking it is taking too look so I look through the window to the shop. I ask the service writer why my oil is being drained. He says it is not being drained and they are doing a 10-point check or something. A few minutes later he says the technician mistakenly drained the oil to do an oil change and that they’ll do the oil and filter for free. I get the car and months later time for an oil change. I do my own. Try to loosen the plug with a good 17mm socket and it slips with no torque. By the time I’m done using a box wrench, vice grips, channel locks, hammer drill and socket, impact drill and socket the plug has no flats, it is round. I figure I now own the problem and messed it all up and I’m thinking there is no way it is coming out and I’ll need a new oil pan. I received the set today. I jacked the car up. I picked the best size extractor socket, tapped it on with no real force. I used a box wrench on the OD hex thinking I’ll really need to reef on it. I turned the wrench to loosen with very little force and it did loosen in seconds. I’ll keep the set handy. Buy it.

My Last Hope
I was giving my old motorcycle its's annual once over. The oil filter cover bolt just wasn't going anywhere. I started with a socket and got nothing. Then came the dreaded vice-grips. The bolt was literally disintegrating into a perfectly round circle. Having had poor luck with commercial screw extractors, I gave the Irwin Indusustrial Bolt Extractor system a try. After a painless order on Amazaon, two days later the tools were on my doorstep. I tapped the appropriate sized extractor onto the shredded bolt head using a small hammer. Next I attached my socket driver with a 3 foot piece of thick wall conduit as a lever. As I lifted on the handle, the bit slowly dug into the bolt and then the magic happened as the bolt finally broke loose and came out. I obviously needed to replace the bolt, but it was worth the price of the set to get that one bolt out. Overall I give the tool high quality workmanship...it seems a bit pricey, but it worked well so I'm satisfied.

Irwin is the only ones that actually worked as expected
I cheaped out and bought a $35 set from Harbor Freight, worthless, so I upped my ante and got a threaded set from Autozone for around $50, junk would not even grab the bolt. I finally sprung for the name brand and like everything else in this world, ya get what ya pay for. This set worked like a champ the first time on two different sizes the other off brands would not even grab. Spend the money up front and save yourself the hassle and headache. Learn from my experience.

Rusted Motor Mount Nuts
worked as it should. Used the 14mm socket. Socket set is short enough and gave me enough clearance to get at two stripped out 14mm nuts on motor mounts. The set is a bit pricey but will save you in crunch time.

Must have for any toolbox
They make a 5 piece set as well. Since I did not know of the complete set, I purchased that one a few years back first. Do not make that mistake! You need a nine and cannot purchase the missing four, hence you buy a complete new 9 piece set. Waste of money. Set is good but supplier should either offer missing bits or only complete 9 piece set. In that case it would have received 5 stars

They did exactly what I needed them to do
Needed to remove partially rusted away nuts from fuel tank straps on my pickup recessed in plastic protective cover. Couldnt use heat and regular sockets no longer fit. These worked great on those a exaust flange bolts.

Awesome extractor set
Awesome extractor set. I used this so far to remove 3 stripped 14mm head bolts out of a Volvo which had been locked in there for 20 years. We're talking overcoming close to 400lbs+ of pressure and it held up great over the course of 3 bolts. The inner spiral seems to be in good shape still, so it's probably made of a very hard tool steel. Just so everyone knows, this is for extracting bolts (heads that are 5 sided and normally undone with a 6 or 12 point socket).

Funcionó bien a la primera, sólo que los filos se despotillaron un poco, espero que no repercuta en usos posteriores, sin embargo será una herramienta de uso ocasional por lo que no me preocupa mucho, ahora en los talleres profesionales no se si funcione.

I’ve only used this tool a few times but every time it’s done the job and got me out of trouble, these really is a useful tool to have ( brilliant)

If you own a Chrysler vehicle and change over your own seasonal wheels, sooner or later you’ll need one of these. They have a reputation for frozen wheel stud nuts. These nut removers saved me hours of frustration. Replace all your nuts with ones that are solid, not capped. Use anti-seize or at least a bit of grease as well for extra insurance.

Good range of sizes, but I only needed one size. They should sell individual sizes. Worked like a charm. It might be a good idea to shock the rounded nut with a hammer and punch before attempting to remove.

This tool is awesome. It easily removed a rusted, rounded exhaust bracket bolt on my Tacoma with my impact wrench. Worth every penny.
