Hosa GMD-108 MIDI Coupler, 5-pin DIN to Same

I chose this product because I had a MIDI keyboard that I wanted to connect to a Mac. The keyboard was on a stand and was far enough away from the Mac that I would have had to drape the MIDI cables across my desk to connect the two. I had a pair of longer MIDI cables but needed connectors to link them with the cables from the keyboard. I bought two of these items: one for MIDI In and one for MIDI Out. It seems like the connectors are a simple solution, but you may be surprised at how many cables and connectors are problematic, almost-but-not-quite fitting or just inexplicably not working. I have had no issues with this product. It does the job I want it to do, and I expect it will last for at least as long as the MIDI cables do. The keyboard is now connected to the computer, and the only place the cables show is when they come down from the keyboard, as extending the cables made them long enough to run behind other furniture and be hidden with a cord cover.

This coupler work well for my needs. no weird data transfers and connection is tight.

Midi Connector allowed me to take a male connector and convert to a female connector so that I could use my wireless midi cables with a midi interface that didn't have female connectors. Flawless, well made and reasonably priced! I use a mid controller that sends a large stream of midi input and this connector does not compromise that flow in any way. Simple but perfect.

They're MIDI couplers and they work as advertised! Not much else to say!

This female to female MIDI connector works like a charm. Be careful that you don't end up with too much MIDI cable when you connect two cables together. I connected a 10 foot and 15 foot MIDI cable together with this and didn't have any problems. I wouldn't recommend connecting together a run of MIDI cable longer than a total of 30 feet (i.e. two 15 foot cables). Supposedly you can have a maximum run of 50 feet if you have a high quality cable - patching together two 25 foot MIDI cables might cause problems. Remember, MIDI is digital signal so it's not a matter of the signal quality degrading (like analog) - it's a matter of signal strength being impeded by too long a cable run.

This midi barrel connector solve the problem I had when I moved my equipment. The computer was too far from the keyboard for the interface device (MIO) to reach both the computer and the keyboard Midi Out port. THis little puppy allowed me to create an extended cable, and solved he problem.

Useful for extending traditional male <> male Midi cables, though you wouldn't want to make the total length excessive. I'm using a pair of these to cross-couple two USB<>Midi interfaces because my PC running DAW software and my MaestroDMX lighting unit both want to act as Midi host devices.
