I personally like the way the language fundamentals are explained (in simple language) and practice sessions right below it. I am planning to buy Evan-Moor’s other books too. Review: Short and sweet! - My son, home school, so this is a must have! There is enough exercises to learn the concept, but short enough not too make the student bored.

Recommendation of this product
Does it's job. Was recommended by a teacher. Worth the price and more. I would recommend this product to parents whose children are struggling.

Quality LA for Third Grade
This is a quality, master approach language arts for third grade. The units are broken into topics and go in depth on such things as nouns. While not colorful or overly engaging, each sheet is clear and direct. Makes it easy to cover the essentials for homeschool or review

ELA supplement
We use this to supplement our homeschooling to make sure my kids get the concepts and while it does the job, it's just very dry. My kids wanted something more engaging

Might work for you, but it wasn't a good fit for us.
This just did not work for us. I tried several times to use it but gave up after about 3 weeks of usage. We switched to using Easy Grammar and that is the perfect fit for us.

Good Curriculum for 3rd grade
I used the previous edition in my third grade class. I saw this new common core edition so ordered it. We are in process of using it in class. Nearly finished with adverbs. I like it so far. It's very thorough.
