A smooth alternative to the default grip pen
Got this after breaking yet another grip pen. Overall I like the classic pen more than the grip pen. Here are my evaluations:Comfort: It feels like using a mechanical pencil, as opposed to the grip pen which feels more like using a marker. This is nice for me because I always draw small and with a lot of detail. I do heavy retouching and 3d modeling & rendering, and I've used this pen for over 10 hours at a time. After using the grip pen for over 6 hours my hand would get uncomfortable because the grip pen is too thick for me to hold it the natural way I hold a pencil or paintbrush. But I can hold the classic pen in my natural way and I don't experience cramps with it. I use the standard tripod grasp to hold the pen if that matters. I guess I could see people with really big hands or people with abnormal grips getting cramps with the classic pen. My hands are 7" long for comparison. I also included a size comparison picture of the classic pen next to the grip pen.Build Quality: It feels more sturdy than the grip pen. Though when I shake it around I can hear tiny plastic parts jingling around. The nib and eraser are slightly more firm than the grip pen. One of my biggest pet peeves with the grip pen was that the two buttons on the shaft weren't solidly in place. It felt plasticky and low quality and that part would shift around. However the buttons on the classic pen are pretty much airtight. On the classic pen I also find it easier to click the button that is farther up. The classic pen also does not collect dust like the grip pen.Performance: Precision and all other features are of equal quality to the grip pen. No troubles whatsoever. Though it does seem that the tilt is more accurate on the classic pen. Either that or the slimness of the classic pen made it easier to tilt.Pen Holder: Honestly I'm not impressed with the holder this comes with. When you stick the pen in vertically, it has too much wiggle room and it always makes me uneasy. Although laying it down horizontally works really well, better than the grip pen's base does for the grip pen. But the largest shortcoming of the classic pen's stand is that it doesn't open up to store nibs inside of it. They just give you the extra nibs in a little plastic bag. Not a huge deal for me since I'm always on the go and I don't carry the pen holder with me anyways, but I miss having an intuitive place to store my nibs.Overall I really enjoy the classic pen as a power user. I'll definitely seek out the classic pen in the future.

Upgrade for Less
Just buy the pen. Seriously. If you're reading this review and debating between this pen and the regular-- buy this one. There's no quality drop, you're not getting ripped off, it came from wacom in a wacom box with all the nibs, a stand, and the pen. Even the little holder was upgraded to sit sideways without falling off. This is a complete upgrade. Go for it.The art pen right now as I read this costs more and is fatter, unbalanced, and equal on compatibility. I can sit this little baby on my finger, dead center of the pen and it will stay steady and balanced. It's more comfortable, its feather light, it feels more natural. My husband totes it back and forth between my intous 5 and his Cintiq 13HD with no issues. The compatibility is equal to the stock pen. Truly: this should have been the stock pen as soon as it was released. It's far superior.I won't waste time with more words, there's no reason for it. The Classic Pen has replaced my stock pen entirely in every field. I will probably only go back to the original should I lose or break this one. The end. I added some pictures so you can compare it to a normal pen and key, as well as see the balance.

Definitely BETTER than original.
First of all, these are just all my opinions so think twice and wisely before you purchase.LENGTH: I bought and receive it at February 23, 2019. It's been around one month plus from using it. :DPROS: Classic Pen is coming with a lighter and comfortable weight to grab with. Where your hand can handle it with lesser weight and more flexible when like drawing curve strokes(depends), etc. Besides that which is the main advantage it come with a slimmer body/hand grip. You will never know how wonderful it can be before you grab it. I'm not trying to exaggerate here but this is the truth when i tried my friend's Classic Pen and lead me to here. If you're using it for a long term/period, i mean like daily at least 4-5 hours. I definitely recommend you this CLASSIC PEN.CONS: However, problem come with it too. Due to the pen length design and my OWN hand holding habits, which i always grab almost the pen edge. At the beginning, it actually hurts my fingers between the pen heads and body. You can actually see it that there's a gap in and out between the pen head and body. This little difference gap actually hurts my finger from holding it like hours. Which the original pen is connect both together without this problem. Still, when your finger get used to it(not your hand/painful). You will find CLASSIC PEN is BETTER than ORIGINAL PEN.VALUE: In my opinion, IT WORTH around 50$-60$. More than that is your interest.

A Classic Wacom Pen
Works as should, the reason I picked this model was not only for the cheaper price, but the size, weight and shape of it. If you paint traditionally or enjoy a smaller sized pen, this model is perfect-the other models have often felt bulky and I didn't enjoy the shape ergonomics, and for some reason found it harder to work with.My main quip, is that unlike the bulkier models, this does not come with any sort of carrying case. None. It's simply the pen, six additional nibs (3 plastic, 3 felt) and a mostly useless pen stand.I use this for school and have to carry it all over with me and for a 50$ investment, I would have loved some protection, let alone a safer way to transport extra nibs instead of in a plastic baggie.

Works great with my Cintiq Companion
When I bought my Cintiq Companion last year I also ordered one of these pens. While the pen that is included with the Companion is great on its own and a nice improvement over the uber-chunky affair that the Intuos pens are, this pen is even slimmer, more handy and even sexier than all the others. Closer in experience to a real pencil/pen. It is so lightweight you barely feel it in your hand. It also has had its share of drops (not on the floor, though) and still works great, although these pens always have to be treated with the best possible care - I've had my share of dead pens over the years. It comes with its own classic-styled pen stand but alas, no nib replacements included. (You can use other Wacom pens' replacement nibs if you want though).

slim, light, better than the grip pen
I lost my grip pen while traveling and was holding off on buying a new one for awhile because of the price, but as others have said, this ended up being an upgrade for me. I have small hands and the grip pen was like trying to draw with a sausage but this pen is perfect. it's much easier to get tiny, precise details without having to zoom in as far, at least for me. definitely feels more like a normal pen or pencil and not like a sausage.it comes with a little stand that yeah, does have a tiny bit of wiggle room but not enough to bother me. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.love this pen!

Great replacement for standard pen
My original intuos pen that came with my tablet in 2012 finally kicked the bucket (it arrived in poor condition and was operating with superglue holding it together), so I bought the classic pen as a replacement. I should have gotten this one earlier. It's been months and it's still functioning great. I do a lot of digital painting and all of the issues i had with my last pen are gone with this one. I don't use the eraser (just not my habit) so I can't attest to that, but the right click is good, the weight is so light, it's slim like a regular pen and the shape is more ergonomic. I honestly think all wacom pens should be this size, i'm not sure why their standard ones are so chunky still.

Simply the best
This is my first replacement for my intuos4, my last pen was lost in a move between houses. I honestly don't know why this pen isn't shipped with the pad in the first place. It's lighter and feels a lot better in my hands than the default. Having used the default for so long now I just assumed it really was all that I would ever need, had I known how great the classic pen was I would have purchased it when I got the pad some time ago. Do yourselves a favor and just order this pen and save your grip pen for a rainy day. It's taking a little getting used to having something so light in my hands, it feels about as heavy as a quality color pencil. If the tip had no resistance I'd swear I was holding nothing in my hand at all when compared to the grip pen.I've only two small things that could count as cons, they're very small. The price 70 bucks seems a bit steep for a piece of plastic, but hey that's just me. It's not going to stop me from replacing my pen, but I was honestly surprised at the cost of the pen. Then there's the cradle. When you set your pen in the cradle (unlike the other pens) there is a bit of wiggle because it's a slimmer pen. Not a big deal, but I'm a tiny bit ocd, and little things like that bother me. As I said two nit noid things that most folks will over look. Heck I'd over look them when it comes time to buy another pen. I won't be using any other pen again, classic is the way to go.

Fina, leve e bem balanceada.

Excellent pen
I had used the included Intuos4/5 Grip Pen for sometime, and out of all the Grip Pens I have used, I loved my Intuos3 Grip Pen the best (closest pen equivalent right now is the Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pro Pen, which at the moment is not for sale as a standalone accessory.)I recently purchased the Intuos4/5 Classic Pen for my Intuos4 XL.First thing to note here is the pen is made in Japan, compared to the standard Intuos4/5 Grip Pen which is made in China. Another thing to note is the tip is slightly firmer compare to the grip pen (2nd gen sensor), which in turn provide a better minimum pressure range. But the firmness is nowhere near as firm as the Intuos3 sensor based pens. The weight and feel is extremely similar as my Intuos3 Classic pens, and even the pen stand is identical. A note here, the pen will fit into the included stand, but due to the skinny girth of the pen, or wobbles slightly.I really like the feel And the light weight of the pen. Though I wish the side switches are detachable or the pen comes in a switch-less version as the ergonomics would be even better (I never use those side switches anyways)The pen works right out of the box. Once the pen gets in proximity with the compatible tablets or interactive displays, the driver will automatically register the pen's tool ID into your computer, and the preferences of that particular accessory will be saved.Overall, a great buy. I use the Classic Pen as my main pen now due to the slightly better low pressure sensitivity as I rely on this a lot to produce pen line art.

Best choice for replacement
This stylus pen is amazing. Very comfortable to use, and works without a problem. This will definitely be the stylus style I will be using from now on on my cintiq.
