Best BBQ sauce for Pork
I have used this product before. It is as good as it was when I bought a few years ago.A local market used to carry it but droped from there line of BBQ sauces. Glad I was able to find it. Thanks

This is only for 1 bottle
Love this product, but please know, this is only for 1 bottle, not 6 bottles like the ad says. Product is 5 stars, but I gave this item 3 stars, due to the fact I only got 1 bottle instead of 6. They did refund my money though, but I lost the money I sent to get it shipped express.

BBQ Sauce With A Little Apple Juice Flavor.
Mississippi Barbeque Sauce, Sweet Apple. NET WT 18 OZThis Mississippi Barbeque Sauce Sweet Apple style, tastes like their regular style with a hint of apple juice. It goes just fine with pork chops, as I usually just spoon some apple sauce on them to give them some taste. Kathryn at the Fremont Company tells me that she prefers to use this style over the other Mississippi BBQ sauce styles. To me, just tasting it out of the bottle gives me a mixed message. Is it a BBQ sauce or something else, like a pork roast/pork chop marinade? I suppose it could be both, if need be. The apple taste is very good, but not quite what I like in a BBQ sauce. I still prefer the Mississippi Sweet n' Spicy BBQ Sauce. There are a lot of BBQ sauces on the market, and personal preferences are just that, personal preferences. No one sauce is going to be everyone's favorite.NOTE: On the label, there are no preservatives listed, and no "USE BY" or "BEST BY" dates anywhere on the bottle, just the instruction to "Refrigerate After Opening". Kathryn at Fremont says that in the past, she has brought this consumer concern to the people in charge of such matters, but so far, nothing has been done about it. She will mention it to them again. For our sake, I hope they finally do decide to list an expiration date. The high fructose corn syrup they use is part of an ongoing debate in the health community, but according to WebMD, the jury is still out on that one.The label information listing the Nutrition Facts and INGREDIENTS is as follows:Nutrition Facts: Serving Size: 2 Tbsp (36g), Servings Per Container: about 14, Calories 70 (Calories from fat 0g). Mississippi Sweet Apple Barbecue Sauce
I love barbecue. Mainly sweet, although I'm also fond of the mustard based ones. Since this was sweet apple, I immediately thought of apple cider, although that's not quite right since this is "sweet" apple. The flavor is very sweet. But I do taste the apple. It definitely isn't that cider taste, but more like applesauce. It also has a little bit of a smoke flavor. Even though this is tomato based, I didn't really taste it. I actually thought it was more like molasses, even though there wasn't any in the ingredient list. And the ingredient list does leave a lot to be desired. The sweetener is high fructose corn syrup. Which drives me nuts. But it's a sad fact that most barbecue sauces are made with it. They also felt the need to use caramel coloring, which I don't really think was needed either. But it did have natural apple flavoring at least. Which is something. A serving size is 2 TB and has 70 calories, which isn't very high. And no fat, which is a plus. It does have a lot of sugar though, 15 grams. And the sodium is pretty high too.I won't buy this again. It wasn't stupendous enough to put up with the ingredient list. But it was ok for a one try thing.Review by M. Reynard 2013

Decent sauce, but apple overkill.
First off, this isn't a bad sauce. It's actually pretty good. However it's far from being a true apple bbq sauce. It's very sweet, no sour or bitter taste about it. The only thing I didn't like is the artificial apple flavoring - it's a bit overbearing on the rest of the flavor of the bbq (almost of the point of tasting "jolly rancher" like). In all an ok sauce, 3 stars. -1 star for high fructose corn syrup, -1 for too much apple flavor.
